RESULTS

We just wanted to let our friends know before the weekend started that Dads Cat Scan results came back and they said it did not show ANYTHING.  Mom asked them where the nodule density in the left lower lobe went that they saw on Wed., and they could not tell her.  Well, okay. ??  We are happy and relieved.

(Mom called the radiologist to explain to her where the nodule had gone, and the radtech said in the original xray it could have been dirt or stuff on the film...WHAT!!! I wonder how many times people go through this.)

  11. That is great news. It is terrible that a piece of dirt or a shadow can cause such problems. Hope your Mom is finding her emotional center again. It is a terrible thing to lose. Wishing her, your pack, and your Dad very good days

  20. The best news in the world. The Army's comment made me laugh! I went through it too, and the cat scan led to a pet scan searching for cancer throughout my body. In the end, it turned out to be an autoimmune disease - which was a HUGE relief compared to the alternatives.

I'm so happy about your news!

  21. Wow. I'm so happy for you! I had a breast cancer scare a few years ago. The radiologist thought they saw something on the scan, and the technician lady kept asking me if I had a history of cancer in my family, which scared me half to death. So that all lead up to me setting up a biopsy appointment. The day of, I was getting a scan in the radiology dept of the hospital, they found nothing! Said it was just the tissue. So from then on, the hospital is where I get the mammograms done.
