PIP & PUDDLES BUCKET TOUR..ITS FRIDAY!

Early Friday morning we woke up to the sound of a car engine roaring in our driveway!  Dietzman ran under the table and hid, and Magpie and I started to shout, “They’re here, they’re here!!!”  Puddles and Pip had arrived in Van Buren County, Iowa.
After welcoming hugs and smooches we helped them get all settled into the hotel room Mom had reserved for them at the Manning Inn.  Mom had to pay an extra fee

because the innkeepers had heard about Pip and Puddles reputation and  they told mom she would need to provide a large deposit that would insure coverage for any breakage or damage.  I swear I heard Puddles say under her breath, “those Ioway people aren’t all that friendly….”

They slept most of the morning away cos they came from Goose’s house BEFORE arriving here, so that alone speaks for itself.  After some much needed rest, they picked Magpie and Myself up and we tooled around the county.  They had never heard of the "Amish" so we stopped by to see they they could catch a ride on the back of the plow.   Pip kept asking them questions about their lives, and Puddles kept shaking her head cos she just couldn't believe there was NEVER EVER beer in their refrigerator for company that might just show up.

Our next stop was the local airport, where Dad had secured a plane for us to tour the county above the highways.  He thought that might be a little safer.  Puddles and Pip both decided to walk on the wings of the little plane, it must have been on Pip's check off list.  Maggie had one foot out the window when I caught her just in time and I threw her butt back in the plane.  I mostly kept my eyes shut real tight cos I just knew something terrible was gonna happen!!!!

Puddles even thought she could talk the pilot into letting her steer the plane, she had her special smile out to help persuade him.  Thank the Lord it didn't work.  Those Iowa men are made of strong stuff!

Finally, we were back on the ground and driving around through the town.
Puddles drove us right down by the river, where the fireworks are stored for the 4th of July celebration.  Her and Pipster (Mag's name for Mr. Pip) thought it would be a great idea to provide a big bang later on in the evening so we climbed through the window and scooped up just a few big-bangers.  Maggie was laughing and giggling and I was just plain nervous. Just then my cell phone rang and Dad was calling us home, cos he had cooked his special cheeseburger, deer burgers for Pip and Puddles to try.  I tried to sound like we hadn't been breaking any rules, or laws or anything but my voice kept quivering.  By the time we arrived back home, the table was set and the deer burgers were a waiting.

After dinner we went for a long walk along the river and watched the sun slowly sit.  The next thing I knew Puddles and Maggie had cooked up a plan to climb up the water tower to ring the town bell.   Pip climbed onto the roof.

Well, the wind started to blow…and the tower started to shake and I had to call 911 to help them out of their pickle!

Sheriff Danny showed up and started to write them out a citation but Mom and I begged talked him out of it.  Actually Mom whipped out of her pocket one of those “get out of jail free” cards she had made earlier in the week. The sheriff just gave us a warning and told Maggie that she knew better.  Mom shook her head and promised they would head back to the hotel. Mom went on back home to take a tranquilizer, to rest , cos I told her I would get them safely back to the hotel.....I thought I was telling her the truth!

We went back to the hotel room, to calm down Maggie cos she kept laughing and laughing and hugging Puddles cos she just loves and admires her.  We decided now was a good time to break open the snacks that our guests had brought us.  I told Maggie when our guests leave she is going to be in big trouble with our Mom and Dad!  She snickered and called me "an ole stick in the mud" and just ignored me the rest of the night.
Later on Pip looked out the window of the hotel room and saw the cannon that protects our town from four-legged terrorists  visitors and decided he would like to be shot out of it just one time across the river.  Puddles lit the fuse and away he flew, laughing all the way!  Maggie wanted the next turn and I told her ABSOLUTELY NOT!! ( I was exhausted!!!)

Finally it was almost midnight and Puddles got out her handy dandy lighter that she carries everywhere with her.. just in case......and she lit the little pile of fireworks, we had stolen  borrowed from the building where they are stored.  I wonder what the townspeople thought when they looked up in the sky to see that in the middle of January.
I will always remember Pip and Puddles every time I look into the heavens at fireworks or a January night sky.

Thank you for coming to visit Mag's and myself.  You have left us with wonderful memories nightmares and promises of seeing you again.  I am going to sleep the weekend away, but first I had better go check that Maggie didn't sneak into the Puddles suitcase.  Later I found laying on my pillow this note from Puddles and Pip.  I couldn't have said it any better.

STELLA ROSE

YAY!!

This is Maggie, the Moose, the Magster,  I am so excited about our guests coming tomorrow.  I have a big ole WELCOME SIGN made for Pip and Puddles, I used lots of glitter, and hearts, and glue.  Stella my snooty sister is cleaning her room in preparation. WHAT!!!!

I hope their not to tired for everything I have planned for them.  Mostly, its just spending time with me, and relaxing with a beer, ginger ale or two, and Puddles giving me tips on how to be a sweetheart.  I planned on taping the whole visit so I can listen to Puddles voice over and over every night when it was time for me to go to sleep. I told Mom to throw that lullaby tape away!!

Stella has a whole itinerary made but that ain't gonna happen!!!

Better go cos mom is coming to check to see if the dishes are done....lick ....lick...lick....bAHaHAHaahah....

EXCITED!!!

This is Maggie Moose and I wanted to tell everybody I am so excited that it is almost Friday and my idol Puddles will be visiting me along with Pip.  I admire Puddles so much and when I grow up I want to be just like her.  I have been reading all about her from her old posts, and checking out her pictures.  I am trying to figure out if I can make my face look like hers.  Do you think people will think we are twins?

LIEBSTER AWARD

The Idaho Pug Ranch gave this award to us.  That was so nice of them.
Liebster Blog Award Rules:

Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you We will thank you again, http://idahopugranch.blogspot.com!

Share five things about yourself and five things about your dogs/pets

StellaRose-Maggie-Dietzman
 1. Stella Rose loves ALL fruits and vegetable, she turns food aggressive every time mom puts them in her bowl so she has to eat out on the porch.  Maggie steals Stella's dog food, so we have to feed them separate.  Dietzman eats his food on a chair at the table.

2. Stella loves to dress up and go visit people.  Dietzman is very antisocial and often glares at people when they come to visit. He either goes to the door to go outside, or runs upstairs to hide.
Maggie enjoys company also, cos they become new victims for her to terrorize.

3. Dietzman survived a fire about 10 years ago.  Our bedroom caught on fire while we were at work, and when the firemen came Dietzman ran upstairs.  They wouldn't let us try to find him, till the next day!  It was a long scary worrisome night for us.  He survived by hiding in the attic.

4. Stella used to live in a puppy mill.  I actually went there not knowing what it was, and picked her up out of a pen, and they let me keep her since her eyesight was almost gone.  She was four months old.

5. Maggie has several traits of Sammy.  Everyday she does something new that reminds us of our little boy.  We believe he lives on in her.

1. Mom is the oldest in her family.  She has three daughters and eight grandchildren.
2. Mom used to be a military wife.  She loved traveling and meeting new people.  She has lots of wonderful memories.
3. Mom went to school four years ago after a heart scare to become a Medical Transcriptionist.  Even tho she was the oldest in class, she graduated top of her class, and then couldn't find a job.  Instead she is now legal assistant to the county attorney.  Its funny how things work out.
4. Mom broke her foot, tailbone, 3 ribs on Dad's motorcycle and it wasn't even moving!
5. My mom is the worst cook in the world, she thinks she is sewing when she uses a stapler!

This is who we are passing the award onto.
Anyone who would like to share their information!

DEAR KIRBY

Maggie Mae

RED CHEEKS

My mom and dad are so embarrassed that Maggie got hold of the blog and went to town asking EVERYBODY to be her date, even after KIRBY formally asked her.  While on the time-out chair Mom asked her whatever was she thinking, and she told us she had gotten the idea from one of the numerous television shows she watches AND she likes everyone, so why not just go with all your friends!  Well, she does have a point, and she is to little to date specifically BUT she asked Ernie, and even Casey my friend!!!

Now we just have to sit back and wait to see if anyone responds.  Maggie is so excited thinking maybe she will get flowers, and candy, and a bag of bully sticks from each and everyone of them.  I am surprised she didn't ask Goose also!!

I am kinda mad at her, and maybe a little jealous that she had the gumption to do what all us girls probably wish we could do.  I wonder what this Friday is going to bring!!

Oh girls and guys guess what, Stan just emailed me on facebook and said he can fly over for the ball but has to hurry back home for a special show he has to go to the next day!!!  I am so happy.  That is just the best Valentine present from him, to be at my side during the Ball.  Of course, Moose, (Stan's nickname for Maggie) is still waiting on a call from someone.  Dad said they can only go with us cos we are older, and they can only go as friends, just pals...buddies......She is sitting by the phone WAITING for someone to call her!!
Stan told her to quit her fretting cos all the little dogs and cats like her. (well they haven't had her drag them around by their back leg, have they Stan!)

Whirlwind Weekend-Memories!

"Memories in the corner of my mind...misty watercolored memories..." OMP what an eventful weekend. First, Stan my love flies clear over the ocean to see me and escort me to Madi's swearing in ceremony. Second, the girl grandmonsters stay the weekend and their Mom takes lots of cool pictures with her new camera.
Brother Dietzman went over his long list of rules for Stan to follow while he was with me this weekend.  He gave Stan the "mean ole cat Dietzman" stare and Stan about had a cardiac arrest!  You know how big brothers are sometimes.
Then little sister Magpie gives us the stink eye, cos we are Not letting her tagalong this time!  Last night at the restaurant was bad enuf!  Besides, we plan on being out past her bedtime!!  Dad almost changes his mind, and was going to let her come along as our chauffeur but Mom stepped in and told him to knock it off!!

Mom and Maggie (Stan calls her Moose now) helped me into my party dress and straighten my necklace out so I look just perfect.  Ms. Ellen and her kids sent me this beautiful dress and sweater!

Oh the ceremony was just precious, and now Madi is the Mayor of Blogville.  Stan shook hands with my friends and He even danced once with Puddles. He said he was a little nervous around her cos she kept blowing beer breath in his ear.  I danced the night away with Goose, Ernie, Casey and Stan.  Mom couldn't figure out Sasha's robot test so we were never able to eat all the great food she brought.  Sometimes mom's robot brain causes us problems on here.

Dad was waiting up when we arrived back home and he took Stan down to the hotel to stay for one more night before he flew out this morning.

Stan had a special surprise for me to end a perfect evening.  In front of everyone at the hotel he sang my special song to me..."Memories".....tears were in my eyes.
As he prepared to fly away this morning....he told me he would be back soon.  He is wearing his special pilot outfit made just for the snow!

CINDERELLA & HER PRINCE

This is Stan, he is my bestest friend in the whole wide world.  He lives in Morecrombe, England and he is coming with me to Madi's ceremony on Saturday.  Doesn't he look like James Bond!  I called and asked him if he could possibly go with me, and the next thing I knew he was flying over on his private plane, just to dance with sweet little me!!! What a PUG!!  Stan, wins lots of awards at the dog shows in England, so he is really smart, and I imagine he can do alot more tricks and follow directions better than me. It doesn't matter to him tho, cos he just cares about me for who I am.  Humans, can learn alot from us can't they.  Mom, is currently working on the fitting of my dance dress and Margaret is pouting in the corner.

We will post pictures on Monday unless the tooth fairy, santa claus, and the easter bunny all show up to work on our WIFI!!!!

P.S. I still have a place on my dance card for Goose and maybe Ernie if he ever asks me, oh and Casey asked for a dance also.

I am in TROUBLE

Mom was very mistaken about Magpie sleeping the rest of the day away after her arrival back from the Vet.  I swear he must have put high fructose syrup in that shot cos she was bouncing ofF me, and the walls the rest of the day.  It took her till late last night to settle down, and by that time we were all wore out.

My Dad is very mad at me at the moment.  Apparently, last night when he put me out to go potty I decided to fall off the wagon (I am a reformed poop eater) and it grossed him out and he yelled and said lots of bad words!!!  Of course he blamed Mom cos she has been adding such good fruit and veggies to my food, and Mom said that was not the reason.  You know Mom has raised three daughters, and now has eight grandchildren and well DAD has never had kids, except by osmosis (the grandkids) so Mom is MUCH smarter in kids learning than him. Plus, she taught preschool for years before becoming a legal-eagle assistant.  Mom says the reason I am doing that is cos of Magpie and I am regressing a bit cos of changes in our home.  Dad said bull hocky well not those words but close.  Mom said maybe its cos we went back to Blue B. food and she likes it more than my other food.  I just want to tell them it is a phase I am going through, and I guess if I eat enuf poop the monster will go back to where she came from.

P.S. A special thank you to Bunk the PUg for sending me my new retractable leash with a beautiful picture of a pug on it!!!

2nd Vet Visit

Today Magpie had to go to the Vet for her second round of shots.  She also needed her stinky glands cleaned.  Mom was surprized cos she is just a baby...that she was having probs with that already! There goes our treat monies for the month. She weighs 7.5 lbs. and is now 12 weeks old....she has lived with us for 3 weeks, 5 hours and 23 minutes. (Remember she was 3lbs. at 8 weeks, are you sure she isn't a great dane like rory, mom?)  If she is not sleeping she is zooming through the house like a madpug attacking anything in her path.  I am usually up on the laps so she can't get me. Mom says only I will be attending Madi's party on Saturday....cos I am the big sister not the baby!

THE BEST LAID PLANS

This is Stella's Mom and she is allowing me to post some thoughts today.  My kids bought me a kindle fire for Christmas, and I am learning  to use it. I have had it for almost two weeks and ALMOST have the wireless hooked up in the house so I can use the internet on it...but I can download books on it SOMETIMES.  I wanted to share a book with you that I read over the weekend.  It is called THE DOG WITH THE BROKEN EAR.  It only cost $2.99 as a ebook.  If anyone else wants to read it and if anyone on here can tell me if I can share it just let me know, cos I gladly will pass it on.  I have even started to reread it last night cos it touched my heart so much. Its funny and sad, and true. And it made me think.  The woman rescued a dying dog on the side of the road and in the beginning of the book envisioned how wonderful life would be for them. I can relate. It did have a wonderful ending.

This book made me start to think about Trudie and how "proud" of myself I was for rescuing her and saving her from that terrible life she had.  I thought I was saving the dog world through one little pug at a time.  I did not. My head must have swelled up so big for doing something grand that I didn't think things through and the consequences of doing something "good".  I know Turd had a good year with us, and it was the best year she had ever had, BUT I will always feel like I failed her.  I could have done better, and I will always always regret that.  I was dumb about the issues rescue dogs have, and how to deal with them.  If there is ever a next time, I will do better and be smarter.  For now, I am just trying to enjoy magpie in her puppy stage and try not to hurry her though it.  I can tell Stella is no longer the Stella Rose that lived at our house, with Turd and Sammer, and it makes me very sad. She is a different Stella and it is a new chapter of our lives.

Baby Bean Pictures

My mom is very determined when it comes to figuring out what the heck is the reason she can't load pictures...so she read on the internet problems people were having and she downloaded foxfire and after hours (cos she is a internet buff just like she cooks) she got it to work!

Taa Dahhhh........
Introducing Piper Ryan Hamberg!

That is Daddy Cody holding Baby Piper and Momma Kody just a few hours after birth.

Baby Bean and Family

I tried to post pictures and the blogger has an attitude and won't let me. Doesn't it know it is beans gotcha day and we need pictures!!!!!!!
stella rose

SHE'S HERE......

Yep Mom stopped by last night to check on us and tell mag's and me we are now new aunts to a little bitty baby bean named Piper Ryan Hamberg.  She weighed 7 lbs. 3z. and 19 inches long.  Mom says both her and her mommy are doing just great and will probably get to go home tonight.  About that name Piper....see about ten years ago Momma started suggesting to everyone she knew that was going to have a baby including her OWN daughters the name Piper, NO ONE LIKED IT!!  Mom, almost named me Piper cos as far as she knew there would be NO MORE grandmonsters, but something told her not to give the name away just yet.  Thats why moms baby kept it a secret from her and everyone else, and the middle name...Ryan...well that name is Mom's oldest baby girl middle name, Kylei Ryan, and here her little sister picked it for her new baby girls middle name...how special is that!!!  I secretly was hoping the new surprized name would be STELLA ROSe!!  Pictures later to come.

IS IT A GREEN BEAN...A LIMA BEAN...NO ITS BABY BEAN!

Remember way back mom told you guys that she was going to have another baby girl grandmonster....well today is Baby Bean's birthday....we hope.....mom's baby girl went to the hospital this morning and they decided that Bean needed to be born today.....wowowwwwweeeee!!!!  Mom is going to work for a little while then head out to the hospital because she has always been there when her grandmonsters have been born.  The hospital is only 5 blocks away so she will make it in plenty of time.  Mom knows her real name but we have called her baby bean for 9 months now, so she may always be baby bean..lol.....we are so excited...can you tell!!!

Mom will not be home tonight tho cos she is going to stay all night with beans brothers...we are on our own until dad gets home from work!
