Mom read this book last night. She cried..........................a lot.
Today she found out that it was mostly true. Ivan passed away in 2012 at the Atlanta Zoo.
It said in the book that sometimes humans stink and sometimes they don't. That is true also.
Stella Rose
We don't know about this book but we know it's true about hoomans.

Mom googled that book to see what it was all about - it sounds like a great one to read. Thanks for sharing -now go give your Mom a kiss:)

Oh Dear we have not heard of that book but Mom will look. She reads all the books about animals she can find.
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff
I'll have to check this book out! I hate sad animal stories! They always make me cry.
ReplyDeleteI hate sad stories cause I hate feeling bad. I like stories with happy endings. It hurts my heart for bad things to happen to anyone (two or four legged) especial to those who can't defend themselves or speak out against those who harm them. So I'm going to stop thinking about sad stuff like that and take joy in having pals like y'all.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
Mom remembers her teacher daughter telling her about this book. She needs to find more time to read - she misses reading

Awwwwwww, must have been a good story.
ReplyDeleteWe need to keep the good humans close to our heart
ReplyDeleteHumans are beautiful and terrible all rolled into one, especially when dealing with other creatures!
ReplyDeleteWe keep hoping that the not stinky humans will someday outnumber the stinky ones....
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs!

Oh, I never heard of that book, or of Ivan. Sounds like it must be a sad story.... Sad animal stories are too much for me!
ReplyDeleteWe bet it's a great read, but our Mommy steers clear of tear-jerkers. She is very tender-hearted.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a wonderful book! Your mom is right about some hoomans, Stella Rose.
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥

We are going to try and find that book. Sometimes when Mom gets home from work, she smells like blood and she has the remnants of tears on her face. She never talks about it, she just puts her face down in my furs and gives me a big hug.
ReplyDeleteAbby Lab
We hadn't heard of this book but it sure sounds sad. :(
ReplyDeleteWe has never read that book but Momma is such a softy that when she reads or hears about a animal being mistreated she has bad nightmares about it.
ReplyDeleteI volunteered at Zoo Atlanta when Ivan was released there and walked on grass for the first time. It was pretty wonderful! I also saw him in his small cage because I grew up in Oregon. We humans are a really weird combination of stink and not. Becky
