Thank you FINN, CHARLIE, and GIZMO for hosting this event.

Our local park is very small and is right since it is by the Des Moines River, which means in this past week it flooded. The water was past the swings and up to the slide, and since none of us puggies are good swimmers Mom told us we could not walk down to observe what all the commotion was all about.  Instead we had to contend with the baby swing in our back yard!

Mom told us that we were going to the great land of pretend and all I was thinking is "we are going to the land of the lazy!"   Geeze she could have put us all in the car and taken us to the real dog park but Mom said, "No" cos Gussie is still getting his baby shots.  My suggestion to that was to keep him at home!!

Gus: Come on Mom lets go play in the yard, ahhhh what is a yard?

Maggie: I am not going anywhere with any of you, cos I am still having my little 'woman" issue and I am a big crab butt, AND I have a pimple on my face!!

Stella: Look this is how you do a swing!!!
And this is how you do a park bench...yes that is my stroller in the backyard of the park LAST YEAR...remember we are pretending cos mom is to lazy busy to take us to a park.

Gussie:  No Stella Rose this is how you do a swing!!
Sometimes I wish I was the only child.

  1. BWAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm busy, too. ;)That's what I tell my own kids and dogs!

  2. Stella not a moments peace with the little upstarts pal. Nevermind you didn't get to go to the park your pad looks well fun. Have a fabulous Friday and Happy Park Day .
    Best wishes Molly

    Bailey, Hazel & Greta

  4. Stella, you swing SO well!! I'm so very impressed with you. Gussie did a good job too, but he just doesn't have your STYLE and GRACE yet. It's a good thing he has such a grreat big sissy to teach him the ropes!

  5. Stella, even though it was a virtual park visit it looked like a lot of fun. My mommys worked late so my "park" day was running around my pen avoiding Molly's razor teeth.

  6. Pretend can be fun. And I know you would miss them if you were an only child. But sometimes it would be nice I suppose to be one for a little while. Of course this is coming from a dog who has always been an only child. And I gotta say it's nice. But the I do have a lot of friends. Happy Park Day.

  7. I loved your comment on my blog, you can come play at my pad anytime..and we have lots of treats :) Loved you post and you are all adorable :) Happy virtual park day xx00xx

  9. Awwwwww We are so sad to hear that your park is now a FISH PARK... Hope it dries out soon.

    Now about the PRETEND Park...
Heck Sakes... PRETEND is what EVERY PARK is all about...
You Pretend you can Swing to the Sky.. You Pretend you are a Major League BaseBall player.. We think YOUR Pretend Park is FABULOUS. BRAVO fur a FUN TIME in your PERFECT Pretend Park... WE loved it!!!

  10. Thank you for coming to Park Day Stella...It's lovely to meet you...Pretend parks are OK cause we know that if the big old river hadn't flooded, and if Gus was older and if Maggie wasn't being a crab you would have taken us to the real park...And Finn and I have more Park fun planned so you have time next month

  11. BOL BOL! I hope all that flooding ends real soon for you guys. Thank you for coming out to Park Day! I have never swung in a swing. I think I need to get on my peeps about that! Have a great weekend.

  12. Aw, they are all soooo darn cute!!! Yes, better to pretend in this instance...don't need anyone getting sick with water icky's. We enjoyed your pretend park trip!

  14. Howdy Everybuddy, we loved your pretend park cause we still got to see photos of you all and your little peep too! Maggie we hope you feel better soon, little Angus keep on being squeeeable and Stella Rose, well, siblings are something we big sisters just have to put up with. At least you don't get slobbered on about 87 times a day. Mum says that is what keeps my coat shiny, sigh. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  15. The world must seem so big to Gussie, but then never being able to see he knows no different. Gussie is so lucky to have you. I am sure the backyard seemed like a park to Gussie.
    Thanks for being my friend

  16. Hey! I'm glad the water isn't any closer to you than the park!

Gertie used to get pimples on HER face, too, so don't feel bad, Mags. Angus, of course you look very brave, and Stella... show 'em how to do it, girl!

  17. Going to the park sounded to me like the perfect thing to do... I would have loved to go and play with you.

  18. We absolutely LOVE that you used your imagination for Park Day! What a beautiful park too with so much to see and sniff and do there. Glad you all had a good time.

  19. WOW ... that looks like so much fun! We'll have to pretend to go to the park, too!

Love Zoe, Peyton, Webster, Liberty & Whitney

  20. I think you all did a good job with the make-believe park. I went to see my daughter in West Lafayette, Indiana on Thursday and all the rivers were spilling over their banks. I have never seen them so high.

  21. We're a group of volunteers and starting a new scheme in our community. Your site provided us with valuable info to work on. You've done
a formidable job and our whole community will be grateful to

  22. Ah, it looks like you had a good time anyway. Gus is right, he needs to finish his shots before he can have all the fun you girls can have. Oh, and the pimple doesn't even show. We're just trying to get caught up on our bloggy pals before the next Phase of the Painting Project begins on Tuesday!

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  23. Hi guys!

Your pretend park day looked like a lot of fun!
We hope you had a great weekend!

  24. Gus has just about the cutest little face I have ever seen! (I keep coming back for another look at him!)

  25. We missed park day... Mom was 'busy' (sigh). But boy you all had lots of fun.

Seriously, Gus is just adorable. I would love to snuggle that little puggle face of his!
