ANGUS: Mom, what are you doing home so early this morning?
MOM: Well, you and I are gonna go meet the new Vet and I need to talk to her about your scraetching.
ANGUS: Meet...as in Hi, How are you, are you very smart... now lets get the heck out of here or MEET AS IN SHOTS, and PAINFUL STUFF like that?
MOM: Um....I am not sure..
well since mom didn't know what they were doing to me, and I had a flight to catch to see Rory in Oustralia...then I opped out of going to meet the new girl frankenvet..WELL apparently ole MOM is in charge cos the next thing i knew "mean ole cat dietzman" was circling above our house in his new vintage plane without ME in it and we were off to see the vet.
Mom told the vet she thought i might be allergic to grain in my food, then the she monster said NO HE'S TO YOUNG....well i puffed up my chest so she could see I was getting a few boypughairs on it, .....then Mom said "well maybe its environmental...." the the she monster said NO NOT aT ALL....well I could read my mom's mind just perfectly and I know bad bad bad words were rolling around in her brain but she kept right on smiling.....so the shevet checked me over and found red spots all over me causing this itching and gave me an antibiotic only AFTER they stuck a thermometer wayup high where the sun don't shine. Well, let me tell you friends, I was NOT ashamed to say, I immediately went into "baby gus mode" and flopped on my back so my momma could rock me. WELL that caused commotion in the office and everyone had to see the puggy baby. I looked at my mom and whispered in her ear that this is the reason I am going to live with Rory cos they seem very excepting of things in Ostrailia.....
So the shevet told mom to give me the med's for one week and then I may have to have a shot to help with the itching....why I am itching only my really smart mom knows........... 15 min and 100.00 later we were on our way home, Maggie and Stella laughed and laughed when I told them about that thermometer thingy....NOW THEY ARE GONNA USE THAT AGAINST ME...Mom said I couldn't leave the country until I was healthy...so now my traveling plans are scrapped!!

Oh Gussie, we can feel for you. I have been having some itchies too. A drag my little tush around and got an oozing hot spot that took a week to heal. Our vet doesn't think it is allergies.I have always been on grain free food. Just as Mom got it cleared up I was itching again today. ARRGGG it's a mystery so far what is causing it.
ReplyDeleteloved your post for Benny

Oh Gussie, NOT the SHE Vet! What does SHE know about boy's? Obviously SHE didn't know why you were itching. (I get red itchy lumps too every time I get to Florida. My Vet - who is a HE said it's allergies.)
ReplyDeleteWe're sorry you had to have that BIG ol'e temperature thingy stuck up, well, you know where. It happens to ALL of us every time we see the Vet (yes, even to Stella and Mag's) so we will have a little talkie to them on your behalf.
We hope that you are feeling better real soon. Don't worry about your flight. You're still young and have plenty of years to spread your wings and fly.
Hugs,
Lily Belle

Aww, Angus, sorry to hear you had a bad time at the vet. When our Audi went to the vet for the first time, he also got a thermometer up the you know what. He made a little groaning sound. He definitely didn't enjoy it. We hope you and your Human find out what's causing you to itch soon. Enjoy your weekend! :)
ReplyDeletewhat a mentally exhausting day little one. And the thermometer! Ugh

Don't know why your siblings were laughing... they have had the same thing happen to them. You remember that the next time they start to tease you. I am sure the plane will circle back and pick you up. Make sure to pack some treats.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

I don't like shots either. I wish you did not itch.
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming by to visit... I sit beside you as we send good thoughts to Benny.

Howdy Angus. Mate, everything is ready. Mum's arms are ready to rock, i've kicked Stella off her bed and onto the floor (so she's really pixxed off hehehe). It will make you right at home. I've stocked up on vegemite and the water is fresh out of the tap. Only thing is, I think the plane ride takes like 87 hours, so take some foodables with you. I'm ready to be a big brother at last. We are very similar you know. Same colour, same number of toes, two eyes and ears. Yep, same. Oh, and bring your coat if you have one cause it's bloomin freezing over here. See ya soon. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteHey pal, we are allergic to grain in food too and feel SO much better on Blue Buffalo Wilderness grain free. Plus we are all shiny and full of energy. That food is better than pills and a shot! Hope you feel better soon and can travel ;-)
