We live right below Ottumwa in Iowa. Right now it is -8 on Mom's computer....wayyyyy to cold to have to come outside....we don't even know what the wind chill factor is.
Saturday BEFORE the big snow came Mom took all of us for a walk. FIRST Maggie and Gussie got their coats on and they headed down to the river and back with Mom . It was the first walk we had in a long time cos of the weather.
Later it started to do this.
And This
and this
finally Dad got home from work around 10:00 pm and Mom could relax. The only problem was once they went to bed Mom's weird problem with her legs started acting up, so she had to get up once every hour and apply a heat pad to them, all night long!!! Dad was not happy with her cos he couldn't sleep and he had to work on Sunday. Mom thinks it was because the cold air made her legs cold while she was walking us. Lesson learned! I guess we will be staying in until the warm spring air comes to our house.

Us too...we will not be leaving the house for a few days. Love the pic of the bald eagle - what a magical sight
ReplyDeleteOMD brrr that looks so cold. Poor mum and her legs. We think mum might need to invest in some thermal leggings. Poor you the white stuff is too much now. Have a marvellous Monday and stay warm and safe.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
This crazy weather is making me crazy. Stay warm puppers.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
It (snowpocalypse) missed us this time. We only got a couple of inches instead of the 8-10 inches they said we were going to get! The parents were happy but we were hoping they would get a snow day ...
ReplyDeleteWe were hoping your mama's legs were getting better ...

I hope Mr. Winter will disappear soon. I hope your mom's leg is a little better and she can sleep tonight. Stay warm and comfy dear pugs, I hope Miss Spring will come soon.
ReplyDeleteOMD glad that big Berd didn't eat youz up.. Now that is some super cold weather, good job Mom has her heat bag for her poor legs. Stay warm guys xxoxxxx

Sheesh! There is no end to that vortex sitting over the midwest! Our winter was terrible last year but this year we had the 4th warmest February on record. Mom even wore shorts all week last week (and again today) for running! Maybe you should pack your backpack and come here for a few weeks!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Puggies you must be sick and tired of the snow. I bet your little tummies get very cold too.
ReplyDeleteLots of hugs madi your bfff
Oh dear. Cold is nothing to mess around with if it effects you that way. Poor mom. Maybe a hot toddy would help next time?
ReplyDeleteIt's time for SPRING!
ReplyDeleteMy gosh... your roads. I promise I won't complain again... I pray for warmer air for you!
ReplyDeleteOMD! Were those the high temperatures for the day? SHE rugs up for the Arctic when it hits 32°F! The last few mornings it's been about 70° and SHE's got jumpers on.
ReplyDeleteNow, you short hairs rug up WELL when you have to go out to do your business. AND watch those birds of prey. Their usual dinner is probably underground and hiding, so they might think a little puggy is fair game!
XXXOOO Bella & Roxy
OMD YOU got it WAY worse than WE did... OMD OMD OMD... THAT is a HUGE snow fall... and your temperatures are in the TANK.
ReplyDeleteGood Grief.... you won't NEED COOLERS fur your Fourth of July Picnic Drinks... you will STILL have PILES of SNOW left to stick the cans into.
We are glad that you did get a LITTLE walkie in before THIS hit you.. No WONDER your mom's Legs were hurting.... they were probably just starting to THAW OUT.
We are GLAD that you are all SAFE and we PRAY that you stay that way...
Stella Rose,
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine being in all that white stuff!! We have had a lot of rain (good thing) and it has made Molly so mad. She does not like to get her tootsies wet. I pugsonally do not care. When you gotta go, you gotta go!
Love Noodles
Hi Stella, You all got much more snow than we did! I wonder if your mom wears any type of undergarment-like Cuddleduds or UnderArmor when she goes out. I do when we snow shoe and also wear wool socks and it helps alot. Hope your snow goes away. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWags, Noreen & Hunter
Beautiful eagle! We were *supposed* to get much more snow than we did here.
ReplyDeleteWell, you sure did get a lot more snow than we did. Can we come play there?
ReplyDeleteMom gets those restless legs and crampy legs at night too - very disruptive to a good night's sleep.
