BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

A few nights ago Mom toles us (first mistake) that it was that time of the month for our flea treatment pill.  We hates that pill and our Mom hates giving it to us, but we all hates FLEAS more.  So.   Anyways furst hers puts extra real chicken (from a can, that way hers can's burn it) and makes us our own homemade gravy.......she hides the pill in our dry food and spoons the special gravies all over it for us...................YUMMY!!!!!!

After chomping down on the food, and crunching and munching and moving all around the bowl cos it was so good, we all finish  and look up at our momma.  "More gravy please............" and Momma looks in each of our bowls and everything has been licked clean EXCEPT that one little flea pill ...........sitting all alone in our bowl!!!!!!!   Our mom said really bad words, like baby piper does, and picked up our pill and wrapped it all up in cheese and gaves them to us.

Yummy for our tummy, we licked all around on our cheeseball and licked and nibbled and when we finished all the cheese was gone, EXCEPT our flea pill.   Boy mom aren't you proud of us for winning this game you are playing wif us!!!!!

By that time Dad had gotten home from his flagger job, where he has to stand in the road and direct traffic, and watch everyone text and talk on their phone, and probably flatten him, if he didn't jump out of the way 100 times a day.  He loves his job though, maybe it is his sense of danger..............um...........

So he tells Mom after he tells her he loves her and mushy stuff and he pats our heads and scritches our bellies, that Mom needs to hide it in his supper.

WELL, Mom is picky about our food and watches grease and fings like that but by this time she is worried the damn (her words) pills is going to dissolve, and "those damn (her words) things are so damn (her words) expensive!!!"................so she puts some bits of barbecued sauce wif chicken and a little oil all overs all pills, IT ONLY TOOK HER THREE TRIES but we finally ate them for hers.

Yes, folks, who is in charge at our house!!!!!   QUIET!

Have a good weekend, we will not be back until Tuesday, Grandma's surgery is Monday.

  3. Mommy always pulls that stunt with us BUTT she puts our pills in a spoon of canned dog food and we usually swallow it right down. (I takes an EYE pill, Max takes Fishy Oil, and Sarah and Holly takes a pill for their thyroid along with a vitamin pill). Then once a month we ALL get a heartworm pill. The dog food thing works great BUTT now that we NOSE your secret, maybees we can stretch it to 3 or 4 spoons of food each before the pill is gone. HMMMMMMMMMM!

Sending prayers and hugs to your Grandma.

  9. Bwahahahahaha! That was great! We are lucky to not have much trouble with fleas. We get Heart Guard once a month, but Joey and I both love those things. Joey sometimes gets pills in peanut butter.

We are hoping Grandma has a successful surgery.

  10. OMD!! I HATES THOSE FLEA PILLS TOO!!!!! Ma would try and try and try to gets me to take them, and when she FINALLY would gets me to swallow it, abouts 20 minutes later I would just throw it back up! hehehehe Wells, after a week of trying this, Ma decided it wasn't right for me, and puts me back on the topical! Butts the vettie tech gave a great tip...to put it on RIGHT BEFORES my walkie, so I wouldn't rub it all off on the furniture! (cause I hates the topical stuffs too! BOL) So, the topical stuffs is doin' the job for nows, and no more throwin' up. (though the extra tasty foodables, I will miss! ☺)
I'll keep my paws crossed for your Gma!! ♥

  16. We don't know what you take for your fleas, but we use the topical Vectra and for heart worm we take Heartgard - those pills are really yummy. Mom said to try putting the pills in peanut butter and put the peanut butter on a small cookie like Alpo liver snaps. That is what she had to do to get Phantom to take his pills. The pb gets stuck in his mouth so he forgot about the pill as he tried to lick the pb free.

    All paws for your Grandma.

  17. We couldn't help but laugh and compare this to the tale of How to Give A Cat A Pill. At least there was no bloodshed!
We'll be purring and purraying for the Grandma on Monday.
    Happy weekend and stay cool!

  18. Good Gravy! I'm being robbed. Cheapskate Mom just puts a tiny speck of peanut butter on my flea medicine. You need an electron microscope to see it. But the smell gets me and I choke it down.

  20. Ohhhhh.......DARN it! You guys almost outsmarted the humans. I don't know about the flea pills but boy do I know about dogs who are smart about avoiding things they don't want to eat. Great way to get the humans to bring out all the tastiest snacks!

  21. you are brilliant pups... that was pawsome pill-work... I'm always greedy and swallow that thingy immediately... so I never get more delicious things... butt I will work on that front. Your dad likes that job? I saw a french workmate of your daddy once and we were afraid for that guy... although there were 87 warning signs for the roadwork, that people in the cars knew no mercy and no one slowed down... we felt sorry for this man, he was mostly not visible in that giant dustclouds...

  22. You guys are smarter than we are. Our mom just plops yogurt or canned tripe over our pills or supplements in our food dishes and we lick 'em right up!

  34. I have the same problem at my house. I hate to see the 20th of the month roll around. I know your mom hates the grease, but I have had great success with canned corned beef. I pay $4.50 per can each month, but thank goodness I have gotten them to take it on the first try for the past few months. I feel like it is worth it in the long run.
