Hurtful Words

Yes, you heard me right...words hurt.  Not hugs from the pugs, or licks from the pugs, or kisses from the pugs, but ...words.  Mom said she is so glad that we can't say human words to her cos someday when we grow up those words might hurt her.  I told her, "well Mom us pugs live in the now and not the "remember when".  Just think if we lived in the remember when all of us here at Moms house and lots of my bloggy friends would be sad, and angry cos some of us had to live in crappy places, mean places, around mean crappy people BEFORE we found our true heart homes.  So thats how we stay happy cos we live in the moment, in the now, for today.

Humans need to learn alot from us...and one of the many things are to think before they they let mean words, hurtful, tear your heart out words come out of their mouths.

I think my Mom might have to take a little break, from one of the things she loves the most, she will be reading your blogs everyday, and when she feels better, (can you staple or hot glue a heart?)  she will be back.

  1. Too true, Stella Rose! Pass on that Mom and I wish her the best and can't wait to hear back but of course we understand. Ever heard of the saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me"? Well Mom says it's c***!

  8. Whoever hurt your mom with their words is a big meanie! One of the books that helped me most with this is The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Blogville is always there when you are ready.

To answer the question you asked...Twinkie is our kitty. Did you know we had a kitty? I don't talk much about her. She's a good kitty, but she's 17-years-old and doesn't do many exciting things. I think her mini-me will do many more exciting things.

  9. We are so sorry that someone said something to hurt your mom. Our lady read a quote about bullying today or yesterday or sometime recently and it said something like - remember when you speak, what you say can be forgiven, not forgotten. People don't think before they speak. That is for sure. We hope she is feeling better soon as we will miss all of you, but we understand. Lee and Phod

  10. Words are very powerful! They can be used to lift up and unfortunately they can be so destructive. You know I am here for you all and of course my MOM is too. If she needs time to heal we understand. But know you have so very many wonderful friends who love you all very much.
    Blessings,

  11. That old saying is indeed crapola like Dina said!! Words do hurt!! I'm so very sorry that some one hurt your feelings! Max says he might be small but he has a mean left hook - just let him know! :). Really, I'm so sad to hear that but remember that LOTS of people like ya and what YOU have to say or we all wouldn't be here! I know I'm still sorta a newbie here but I really enjoy reading your posts and hearing what you have to say! I hope your heart heals soon and you find a least a little hope in people that you're obviously very much loved and appreciated here :) Prayers for ya! Hope to see that little light of yours shining again soon! Hugs!

We just hope she remembers all the lovely words and good thoughts that everybuddy in Blogville sends her. We agree with Mr Frankie. 17. Oh hells, is da Puddles gonna has to go redneck?
I agree withs Goose on dis...words do hurt and they can make a hooman loose their confidence and self esteem in a second. My mum knows first hand. And unfortunately they is hoomans and has a tendency to keep rememberin' and livin' in da past...unlike us. It is hard to get overs when hurtful words has been said.

  21. For those that want to say something mean, just send them my way - I'm more than happy to wallop some sense into them with a stiletto. Plus - I think the SousPug has a way of "discussing matters" that might change their tune. So sorry that your mom is hurting and that should NEVER happen. Give her a huge pug hug and tell her that she's got a community that adores y'all and we'll be more than happy to make her smile :)

  23. My momma says that people who say hurtful words to other people don't think about how they are hurting. We hope whoever did it feels bad and says they're sorry. We would miss our furriends Stellie, Mags and Gussie very much if we didn't get to see or read about them.

  26. We are sorry your mom got her heart broken with bad words. You can't unring a bell and sometimes it just resonates too long. Tell your mom not to give her power away to someone else. She needs to tell herself some good words. We hope she feels better real fast. You are wise Gus!

  27. I am so very sorry about those hurtful words. I know it is easy to say 'shake it off', but as Murphy says, the sound of those words resonates too long.

WE LOVE YOU ALL... very much. And, we hope whoever said those hurtful words get a mouth full of canker sores.. cause those buggers hurt like a switch whipping...
