BABY GUSSIE vrs. ANGUS

OUR (my) Mom has a hard time accepting that baby gussie is growing up...after all he is 4 1/2 months old now ...and NOT exactly a little baby anymore in everyone else's eyes but our MOMS.  This is an example of her and gussie....okay no pictures yet so you will have to use your imagination....

Each night when Gussie gets tired he likes to go lay in the big bed dad bought for the three of us, BUT mom instead holds him just like a tiny baby and rocks him to sleep.  I watch in amazement,  Dad just shakes his head a million times, and Maggie looks on in disgust ALL the while little gus is falling to sleep.

Dad told Mom one of these days, he is going to be to big for her to do that....well Mom told him to go read the book by Robert Munsch called, "I'll love you forever" cos that momma rocks her boy even when he is big!!!!!!!

Dad you might as well just be quiet cos you are not going to win this argument!!

Please keep Benny in all your prayers, and his sister Lily and their momma.  Benny and his family have to fight Cancer and it will take all of us and even more for them to stay strong.  Send them whatever kind of help you can even if it maybe a kind and loving word.  Check them out at Two French Bulldogs.

  6. Hi Stella Rose!
That is our mama's favorite book, "I Love You Forever"..."as long as I'm living my baby you'll be." Mama treats each of us'uns like your baby brother Angus...however, not so much the rocking to sleep...but we are her "babies" and she and other mama (her mom) take the boys up to bed at night. Her and George (Pooh Bear as she calls him) have Mama/Pooh Bear Hugs where she picks him up and loves on him by cuddling him and he grunts his love retort back to her. Gracie loves to sit in Mama CJ's nook'ums (the crook of the arm) and get rubbins' on her belly...yousa see...wesa could go on and on. God made mother's see the baby is all of us'uns...wesa like Peter Pan to thems...wesa will never grow up...and wesa sorta like the attention. :)

  7. OK, BUTT . . . when Baby Gussie is no longer a baby does that mean that you and Mags get rocked? We think EVERYBODY should be rocked!

  9. Stella - you have taken on the big sister role quite well :) Maggie will learn that your Momma I'm sure has a gazillion hugs for you both :)

  10. I cannot comment objectively on your post today, Stella. Occasionally my mommy rocks me to sleep as well. This is especially true at parties when I poop out. Actually over-treat is the real sitch.

  11. Our Lady still does that kind of thing with us and we are 35 and 60 lbs respectively. You can't get to big! Lee and Phod

  12. Finnie here - at 70+ pounds I still crawl onto my Momma's lap and she LOVES it too. Keep on rocking him to sleep!!

  13. That sounds EXACTLY like what mama does to Webster! He lays on his back like a baby and lets her rock him. We are all her babies but he is the biggest baby of all. (He was just a couple of days shy of being 8 weeks old when he got here - the rest of us were a little older!)
Does Gus whine, too, like Webster?

Hope your grandpaw and grandmaw are doing better ...

We're still praying for Benny to kick cancer to another planet...

    Love Zoe, Liberty & Whitney
    Peyton & Webster, too!

  17. hmmm you get too old to be cuddles to sleep, i am not sure, particularly not a pug. the only reason mom would not rock norbert or bob to sleep is that they are too heavy

  18. I wish I could still hold my Angel like that. I lost her a year ago, this past Saturday. She was the belly-rub queen. I was the only one who could hold her like a baby, though. She was a total Mammas baby (even at 13!) So age doesn't matter, just love!!

  19. Awww. That's sweet. I used to love to snuggle all my pups when they were little. They all eventually got too big! Rita will snuggle a bit, but she's not a lapdog.

Sending pawsitive thoughts for Benny. Cancer sucks.

  20. So sweet... You should work hard on staying a little baby so momma can rock you to sleep all the time!
