Have you ever had so much to blog about that you don't know where to start....and have you ever felt like you are so far behind on commenting on your friends blogs that you don't know where to start...and have you ever had a crappy little computer at home that refuses to let you blog from home? Whew....that was a big question so anyway we have alottttttttt to blog about.
#1 We have a new girl grandmonster in our family now. She was born on Saturday. Mom says she is very healthy, and very beautiful. Momma says grandmonsters make your heart fall in love with them in one second. I asked her like she fell in love wif us, and she said her heart has room for everyone. So now Momma has 4 girls and 5 boys. She says when she is really really old she will have lots of love surrounding her. She toles us when she got home last night (yes she had to be gone from us overnight) that the little boy grandmonster and hers had such a good day waiting on his new sister. It was the best Christmas present.
#2 We are still working on our Christmas cards. Every night Mom has plans of working on them, and she has slowly but she needs to get faster. We are behind and we are getting ours in the mail. Today we read on https://birdbrainsanddogtales.wordpress.com/ that they need us to save our stamps that we receive in the mail to help out other doggies.
#3 The latest update with our Macey is that they are very positive it was the bacteria called Bartonella henselae is the evil germ that has caused Macey's illness. We have since found out it affects, heart, liver, spleen, lymph nodes, and several people have came up to us and told us stories of friends or loved ones, that have had to spend a long time in the ICU just recovering from this bacteria. We believe since Macey was so healthy when she got it that has helped her to be not as sick. So far this evil germ has created a heart murmur, blood cells that give the appearance of blood cancer, anemia, and of course the swelling of her leg and foot. The CDC doc did tell us it could take a long time for her swelling to go away. We are still waiting on them to get smart enough to decide which antibiotic to put her on and when that happens we get worried that aren't really all that smart and even know what they are talking about.. We feel even though these past months have been scary and heart hurting we have also been blessed by how well it has turned out, and all of our family (you) and others that have stepped up in one way or another. We will never forget it.
#4 Mom has mentioned a few times about her job and if she would still have it after the election. Well, her boss did not win the reelection but last week she found out she will be staying on as his fulltime private legal secretary. That was a real blessing and took a lot of worries off of her shoulders. She is very thankful.
Well it is Monday and we have GOBS of catching up to do on your blogs. Plus Gussie is working hard on his application to Santa concerning being his own private body guard. Mom and I just shake our head. We personally think it should be Maggie who applies cos she is one at our house that is the tough one.
We are also remembering our families who are waking up to loved ones, looking down upon them. All our love.
Stella Rose and Momma
That is a lot of news! Kind of the "Good, the Bad, and the Ugly". Focus on the "Good" and try and furget the rest. All of Blogville is here to try and help absorb some of the "Bad" and the "Ugly".
ReplyDeleteAlways keeping Macey in our prayers for a quick recovery with no lasting problems.
And sending loads of love too...
It's just wonderful that a little girl grandmonster was born on saturday! That's really a super christmas gift, I agree! I hope your Macey can recover now when they found out what caused her illness and I hope the meds will help her to kick out this evil germ. And that your mom can stay in her job is a fabulous news, that's a little like a christmas gift too.
ReplyDeleteEasy Rider
btw: if Santa needs no bodyguard you can be my momma's bodyguard, but that's a really dangerous job...

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. I do recall Gussie's failed campaign. For what its worth, I did send a reference letter for him to Santa. Maybe starting lower than REINDEER will help him get his foot in the door? Just a thought.

ReplyDeleteWow - so glad to hear they have some answers (not all the answers yet, but at least some - and good ones too!) on Macey's situation. I'm so glad to hear it is a bacteria and nothing to do with that evil C word. An evil bacteria is bad enough but hopefully they'll pick the right medicine for her and she'll be healing up quickly!! Congrats on the new grandbaby and also on getting to keep your job!! Hooray for lots of good news!
ReplyDeleteWell, this sounds like a pretty good report. Great news on the job, congrats on the new little bundle of joy, and at least things are moving in the right direction with little Macey. We hope there is a treatment to make her all better. Please tell your Mom not to sweat the small stuff - forget about the comments (and thank you for visiting us), and no worries about the cards - save them for next year. Everyone totally understands that your world has been in a bit of a tizzy for a while now Relax and enjoy the family at this special time of the year.

So much good news! A new grandmonster and a stable job are such amazing things to be thankful for. And we are so so so so SO relieved that they've figured out what was hurting Miss Macey. Now if they can't figure out the right medicine for it, you three can go growl at that nasty bacteria and tell it to GET OUT NOW! Angus is a police officer, it HAS to listen.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!!!! I am as far behind as you are.... but I don't have the kind of awesome news that you do. A new grandmonster and Macey's illness is treatable. And then the job. Yipee, yahoo. I'm so happy for you.
