Macey and Charlie --I fink he is telling our Macey his troubles.
Grandma has her third biopsy this week. The shrinking has slowed down which the Dr. said that is normal and they are planning on doing the lumpectomy late in August. Our grandma is pretty tired every day from the hormones and they also give her hot flashes that rate on a scale of 1-10 about an 210. We bought her a cooling pillow hoping that would help.
Macey is still going to PT every week. She is STILL waiting on the magic leg hose to come it seems the elves that make them, are stumbling and bumbling around trying to figure out the correct measurements and gradients. We have no idea what any of that means except she is still WAITING. A few times over the past week her foot got" much bigger, but then it went down to the size "just big" her PT lady said she is doing well though. We want different than "well"..........sigh.
This is Layonna, we call her Nonnie, she is our youngest grand child...doesn't she have pretty eyes.
Have a wonderful day....thank the stars above it is almost the weekend.

Thank you for all the updates. Seems things are getting a little better for everyone. Sending hugs and POTP to Grandma. Also a Happy Anniversary wish. Nonnie is adorable.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Nonnie is adorable! I love the little peeps. Does she drop lots of nice treats for you?
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of news, good and bad, in one post! 61 years?! Wow...that's a long time - and that's a wonderful thing! My Mom and Dad will be celebrating 6 years together in June. Mom says she hopes that one day she and dad will also be able to celebrate that landmark of 61. Mom and I are sorry that Macey's leg thing hasn't come yet - we are crossing our finger and paws and hoping it gets to her soon!
ReplyDeleteHere's something for you to try for leg cramps: Pickle juice! My dad's dad has issues with cramping in his feet and legs and swears by the stuff - He buys it offline by the gallon! If it works for him, maybe it'll work for your mom, too?
Not just Nonnie's eyes are pretty, she's a pretty little thing all around! :)
I send a lot of POTP and I hope for good news and good results for your mom your granny and your macey... and your little nonnie is like a sunray and a smile of this cute little human can chase a lot of dark clouds away

Nonnie is DARLING.....
ReplyDeleteWe see that some progress is being made on all fronts... THAT is good... Slow and Steady wins the race... RIGHT?
POTP fur it to continue...
Thanks for all the news. We hope everything turns out all right for everyone in your family. We'll be thinking about you!
ReplyDeleteWe were going to tell you the same thing as Poodle. Dad's doctor told him about pickle juice and it works. Drink some pickle juice when you feel it coming on. Dad also takes magnesium and that has helped prevent the cramps.
ReplyDeletekeepin the POTP coming
hugs

BOL Your mom just told y'all that dogs from Oklahoma came to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa's 61st anniversary, she didn't want y'all to know that I got a special invite cause I'm her favorite.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
Thanks for the updates. We hope all your loved ones go forward into HEALTH!!!!
ReplyDeleteMom swears by a banana right before bed time to help with cramps - the potassium in them is meant to help ...or there are 'leg cramp' pills you can get at walmart or any pharmacy and they help a lot too. A prescription from your doc for quinine will also help.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on everyone. We will keep our paws crossed for everyone who needs it. 61 years sure is a long time. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWe are keeping up the POTP for everyone....Our Daddy also gets those icky leg cramps!!
ReplyDeleteSmileys!

Glad everyone is muddling along, no BAD changes. Just keep it up, a day at a time. Nice that you could all get together to celebrate. Sixty-one years is HUGE!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the updates and of course, we still have our paws crossed and lots of prayers for ALL. At least some things are looking better. That little one is just so precious - awesome eyes!!!

Crikey ...... thanks for the update but it still sounds pretty bleak in your house. Little improvements I guess but ..... fair dinkum ..... you blokes could do with a few real good breaks, aye?? Well not break as in broken things but I'm sure you know what I mean. Those knees still look pretty crook and leg cramps ...... oh no ..... Mum gets those and it's very painful. She's going to try Reilly and Denny's Mum's banana cure and she's also going to look out for some pickle juice. She'll try anything. I think Macey's trying to tell Charlie, ever so nicely, that he needs to go on a diet. He's sure a roly poly little bloke, aye and that little Nonnie ....... OMD ...... she's as cute as can be!!!!! I hope the cooling pillow helps for Grandma with the hot flushes.. That's a mighty high scale rate she's got going there.
ReplyDeleteCrikey ...... still too many problems going on for one family to have to deal with, aye??
The women in your family are all beautiful - all generations. We do hope everyone is feeling better soon. Prayers and happy dog dances headed your way.
