BUSY WEEKEND

FURST....Dad had another night (on Friday) of puking and puking some more ...all night long, MOM says he is NEVER EVER to take Codine again, we are pretty sure that is the culprit.......he got up on Saturday afternoon, feeling a little better, by Sunday he was fine.  Today will be his first day of PT. 

Mom cleaned the house on Saturday and caught up on all the laundry...you would think 100 trolls live at our house, mom had that much laundry.   We helped her by getting under her feet, and tripping her, we figure it is the best way for her to get some exercise.

ON Sunday Mom ran to Walmart to get her Thanksgiving foods........guess what.....the power was out, trapping people in and no one could come in, no registers were working, it was dark inside......so Mom went to Hy-Vee instead.  Apparently she is not a true blue loyal customer.  She says she drove 30 min....she was coming home wif food!  We wonder if those peoples had to stay the night.

Then ALSO on Sunday this little girl wanted to come down to see us....well the truf is she wanted to see our Mom .


Piper making a cake.  You can see we practice the upmost safety by letting her stand on a chair that is nearly 60 years old.
 
She is testing the batter....we usually get to do that...........darn it.............our DAD is snoopervising...I fink our mom is somewhere banging her head on the wall.

Painting our DADS toenails a nice bright neon green.  Mom wonders what the PT peoples will fink of those colors...........

She is telling Dad to hold still, she is very bossy.

And finally Mom worked on Grandma's Christmas wreath yesterday.....she still has to add a few red ornaments and then it is ready to Grandma's this coming week.



We hope you all had a great weekend also.  P.S. we only gots like 1 inch of snow........but peoples around us got lots more.

    Piper is way too cute!
    Funny that our husbands spent Friday night throwing up, for different reasons. My mother is deathly allergic to codeine, it started with symptoms like throwing up, so be careful. I have a sensitivity to it so avoid it. (My mom also can't have morphine or demerol, making it hard for pain management when she had her knees replaced). Sorry you got the snow, it missed up this weekend!

    that was my first thought too... the pt-people will look twice at his toenails :o) great idea Piper :o)
    It's scary to be locken in a store... I wonder what happens with all that frozen food there, have they an emergency power for the freezers?

    So sorry bout your Dad puking and all! Not much fun! BUTT the rest of the post just had us giggling and HOWLING so much! We can just picture the GREEN toenails. (Well, maybe not.)     First of all - when did Piper get so big?
    Second of all, CODEINE makes my mommy really really sick too. She said she'd rather have ADVIL for the pain.

    OH MY Pugs you all were busy a a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs....I bet the PT love your Dad's toenails. Codeine makes my mom feel like she has bugs crawling all over her. Bad stuff. She took it one time after some gum surgery NO MORE.
    Piper looks like she knows what she is doing...maybe she can help my mom with a cake too

    We think your Dad's toes will be a hit at PT! It'll probably go viral on the Internet. Don't worry about the kid on a 60-year old chair. Shoot, SHE survived no seatbelts, playing in a polluted creek and all sorts of risks! But we think Piper should have shared the batter.....

    At least the night time no-fun happenings did not carry over into the day, too. Sorry to hear that kind of reaction happened at all...bleck! Looks like Piper is one heck of a little baker, there...and also has the art of the pedicure down pat! Betcha those toes are a hit! lol

    Codeine makes our Mom very sick too - she can't take any pain meds without having an upset tummy:(

    Hi Stella... That Piper is such a dollbaby! Sorry, that dad was so sick. Percosets do the same to me. Anyway, glad that dad seems to be on the mend and grandmas bloodwork was good. And that wreath is so pretty! Hope your family has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. Hugs to your family and prayers that things continue to get better.

    Oh no ~ be prepared to do a lot of banging your head against the wall because physical therapy is a scam because it makes the pain worse before it gets better. Even Lee is all grumpy when she comes out of therapy, why I just sit in the back seat of the car and don't wag my tail because even that can hurt Lee. The wreath is beautiful, love the candy cane ribbon.

    Your momma made such a pretty wreath! Wow. And the PT people are going to be SO impressed by your dad's pawdicure. I bet they'll smile REAL big. I hope he feels better soon. Some peeps don't react well to that codeine stuff.
