Mom was thinking about her friend from last night and the "gift" she brought to her. She wanted to share another "gift" that her friend, Alethea in England gave to her yesterday. My Mom is a BIG believer in signs. My boyfriend Stan lives in England with his mom. We started to be pen pals last year, and we send little gifts and cards back and forth. This weekend Stan went to a pug event and at the end of it they had balloons that they released into the air for the pugs that have went to the rainbow bridge. Stan sent me the special pamphlet and on the back of it was Turds and Sammers name.
Mom got to thinking about the balloons last night and everything they stood for to her. Was it a sign? We don't know but it just felt right.

Stella Rose, Can I tell you a secret.
ReplyDeleteBefore I came to live at the PugRanch, Mom & Dad had another puppy named Olive. Olive had a tragic accident and left for the Bridge when she was still a baby. Mom has not been able to talk about her much. I was picked out for Mom soon after and Mom understands all the different feelings you are having. She knew she still had lots of love in her heart, just like your Mom, even though she was hurting so bad. Olives birthday is soon and mom is working on a post to honor her. Mom says thank you to your mom for being so brave, and giving her the courage to talk about Olive.
love from your soul sista

How sweet of your mom's friend and the balloons just maybe, only you and your mom know for sure. But I do know this when those balloons were lifting to the sky Trud and Sammer were smiling BIG smiles down on you. And they always will

ReplyDeleteThat's a very sweet thing to remember. I bet those balloons floated all the way up to the Rainbow Bridge for all the pets there to play with!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad it felt right. That is an important feeling! Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I read this earlier today and cried again... you see, we lost a little dog much like Sammy...in the same circumstances. I think this was a wonderful thing for someone to do for you, and I hope it made it feel better for a little while, at least.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a sign for sure
