SNOW PLAY DAY

Mom promised us she would take us outside this weekend to play in the snow so Stella and I were excited when Saturday came around and we spent lots of time outside.

On Saturday Mom was busy playing catchup in the old housework cos she says, apparently Stella nor myself know how to pick up our toys, and Dad even tho he is a great cook is a horrible messy cook so...you get the picture BUT she did take us outside to play in Alcatraz several times and I zoomed around in the snow and tried to fling snowballs at my sister but she was a party pooper.....literally she pooped and wanted back inside.  I need my buddies Kirby and Ryder to come over and zoom around with me.  I bet Greta would have did pugtona with me...geeze!!!

Then on Sunday it was starting to melt so our back yard looking like a place pigs (not pugs) would wallow in so Mom took me for a snow walk instead.  Here are my "starlet in the making pictures."

1. I am pulling on the leash cos mom is old and slow.  "Come on Mom a girl has got to see her admirers!"
2.I said, " are you coming Mom, I hear they have a two for one special down at Tilly's Tap!"
3.Okay I will sit one time for you and look real cute..."where's my treat?!!"

4. Mom your photo skills remind me of your cooking and sewing skills....look it looks like I only have one ear!!!!

5. Eating snow is NOT the same as "Tilly's 2 for 1 Sunday Mom!!"

We will be back later with sTellie's pictures.

(This is from Maggies Mom.  I wondered if anyone else out here in the blogworld had a pug that started to pant and got really hot, while she was resting in the chair.  Maggie has been doing this for awhile.  Not so much after her walk or playing but it will just come on all of a sudden, usually while she is laying around doing nothing.  I talked to the Vet but he kinda blew me off so i thought I would ask you guys?...Deb)

  1. OMD I love your pink coat! Perfect for the snow!

Sometimes Finn starts panting like that on our couch, but then she gets down to the floor and cools off. I'm not concerned since she moves to a cold surface. Does she just stay in the chair?

    To Maggie's Mama:
    Hi Mama!
This is Mama Mindy! My little Gracie Lynn gets awful hot when she cuddles with her mama or her siblings...and she will pant and sweat a bit...then she moves off the chair or away from her sibs and the panting goes away. Sometimes I encourage her to go "hydrate"...that is go get a cold drink of water and cool off.
I don't think Maggie Moo has any real big problem and will be fine if she takes a little time to cool off. However, if this doesn't work, definently go get another opinion from a different vet.
    Much Love,
    Mama Mindy :)

  9. Maggie - you look like a star in that jacket! *pawbump*

My momma says I pant a bit but that's because I'm either hot or not feelin' well. If you are hot, just go get a sip of water and relax. If your momma is still not getting a straight answer from the vet, find a new one and get a second opinion. Better to be safe than sorry!

  11. That is a gorgeous Pink Parka!!

  12. Love the pink coat! WHOOO!

To mom's question, that panting may be 'too hot' but it could be a heart issue. Just have the vet keep a listen to it each check up.

  14. I love the coat! And the snow! We got some of that snow last week when I was gone. Once it melted, the ducks made a MESS of my back yard. Ugh.

  16. OMD, your little pink coat is just adorable!

And don't worry, I never would've let Puddles get adopted at our pet fair. But she WAS taking interviews for a new typist!

  19. First Stella was a party pooper love it!!!

Next Emma gets hot sitting on the couch and pants or sitting anywhere actually. It's odd it won't be hot in the house (she did it the other day) and she will have been sitting for a long time and start to pant. I always thought it was because she is over weight but now you mentioned Maggie does it I wonder too why?

  20. We love, love, love your pink coat, Maggie ... you are adorable! Can't wait to see Stella's pictures!

Webster does that panting thing, too. Mama takes a wet washcloth and puts it on him. She also makes him go get a drink of water.
