Something is going on with Stella Rose and we can't figure it out. Mom is getting really worried about it and is going to make a Vet appt. She is eating okay, and drinking okay but she isn't acting okay. Mom and Dad have been noticing how sad she is lately and how she just lays around on the floor, behind things, instead of laying on their laps.
Oh, sometimes she plays around for a little bit, and sometimes she lays on their laps but there is something off about Stella Rose. Last night we were all watching television and Mom realized Stella was no where to be found. At first, Mom thought Dad took her in the car with him, but the house felt to still and not right. Mom kept looking through all the rooms and found her laying in the bathroom all by herself. She wasn't sleeping just layin there.
Mom picked her up and brought her back in with us to lay on Moms lap. Mom has also started to notice she goes gets in her bed by herself around 8 each night. We are all worried and we don't know what to think. Do you guys have any ideas?

Oh poor baby! Only the vet can tell what's wrong. Maybe she is hurting. Paws crossed she is okay.

Yes a vet check is a good idea just to make sure she is OK. Mom has noticed some similar behavior with Hazel. But Mom thinks it is more because I kinda hog the show around here and Hazel has taken more of a back seat. :-( It makes mom sad that Hazel rarely sits on her lap anymore and sometimes lays in out of the way places. Paws crossed that it is nothing physical, maybe she just needs some extra love.

Noodles's Mommy #2 here: Always a good idea to see the vet when suddenly your pug is acting a little off. That said, Noodles gets in moods where she just heads to her crate or pen to be alone. Everything else about her will seem normal so I don't really worry about her. I will pick her up and give her an extra cuddle, though. Usually that will bring her out of her mood. I hope this is all that is wrong with Stella. It could be the younguns are just getting on her nerves.

Has anything changed around the house lately? Visitors? New people? Dog changes? Is she upset with some kind of change?
ReplyDeleteWe don't know what could be making her sick, but we know that she is likely telling you something. Our Lady's Loki did the same thing and our vet was away and the other vet didn't really believe her . . . but Lady was right, Loki was very sick - so listen to her! Power of the paw and love to you today. Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteOh no but some dogs do want to be alone when they don't feel good. We have our paws tightly crossed for dear Stella Rose.We think you are right to go to the vet. Let us know how things go.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
A check with the dogtur is probably a good thing. Mom had a dog and his name was Leroy and when he got older he would go to bed by himself (on a regular basis). But to just be in the bathroom all by herself does seem a bit odd. We sure hope it is nothing and that maybe she was just primping in the mirror.

Beyond worried, here. Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteMaybe allergies? Something going on with her food? Lyme disease? Paws crossed!

When something is off with a pug baby, it is always right to take them to a vet. Usually, there is something wrong...

I think dear little Stellie has got the blues--Gussie is a hero at college, Maggie is up front and center, so what's a little gal to do? It's always good to check with the doctor though cuz she may need to get vitamins or something extra like that. Paws crossed for our friend. Lady Caroline
