LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW

FURST the wind came.....and then the snow came....and then more snow came....and more snow....and now the wind is back...and the snow is going away......but the wind is staying.  That about sums it up at our house.

THE good news is that Mom in her infinite wisdom last night decide gimpy knee or not her and us had a bad bad bad case of the winter cabin blues, and damned for the snow we were all going for a WALK.  Dad ignored her and stuck his head further under the covers on the couch and pretended to SLEEP.

FURST I got to go outside with my Momma.  I ran through the snow (well as far as my leash would go) and put my face down in the snow.  I laughed and laughed and loved it.  Mom and I walked all over our yard far away from Alcatraz.  When it was time for me to go into the house though I REFUSED and Mom had to pick me up and carry my butt in.
THEN it was Mags and Gusser's turn.  They went nuts and wrapped the leash around my momma's knees and legs 100 times before they could even get off the porch.  Gussie tried to walk right beside momma but Maggie kept dragging him all over the yard. By that time the snow was way past their bellies and they had to jump through it.  Mom figured if she fell down at least the snow would be soft.
When we finally came in we were all tired out and calm during the rest of the night.  Mom said that proved to Dad that we need more than just our run around Alcatraz.  He ignored Mom cos he hates to walk us. Mom said some HBO words and we just covered our ears.

If you have us on facebook check out our story on my page.  Mom said the pictures made her miss Sammer and Trudie a lot. Even good things can make your heart hurt.

  4. Stella, loving someone and missing them, especially when something brings those memories to the forefront is God's way of saying you cared about someone very much and they will always be a part of your heart. It's actually a blessing, but one that's bittersweet. Be thankful (as I know you are) your momma cares about all of you like that.

    Love,
    Gampy

  9. Looks like you have as much snow as we do. Glad your mom didn't try out falling on the snow. Hunter wanted out during the night but it was just too cold for him. He doesn't even want out today very much.
    Stay warm friends!

  10. And we thought you hated that snow. You just hate no one walking you in it. You need to go out again and then shake wet snow all over your lazy dad.

  11. So, let me get this straight. . . snow is SOFT? But isn't it ice and we all now ice is HARD?!? So, what am I missing here.
I am sure my Mommy would love to sew you 43 things large and small. That can be done during her 5 minute rest on the couch - right?

  12. There is nothing like a good walk for getting out energy! I never let Momma settle for just going out in the backyard. She gets GOOD exercise from me.

  13. Your dad should know that a tired puppy is a good puppy! These dads are just getting in a lot of trouble lately! We are glad you got out to run around. We hope spring will hurry!!

  14. It looks like so much fun to play and bounce around in the snow. It's just yucky that you can't go outside whenever you want to, though.

  15. Our man doesn't like to walk us either, but our mom knows it is best for us. We wish it would warm up a little, it is very cold for long walks.
