Mom has been working on making the farmer fence pretty. She wishes it wasn't to late to plant zinna's but in our zone cos she knows they would make it look fantablous but its to late, so instead she planted Hen and Chickens and rocks. Yes, ROCKS!!!! Dad is laughing at her. He laughs at her a lot.
That flutterfly is for you Tweedles. Mom still needs to put mulch down and she wants to find another small garden globe. We hope they come back next year.
It needs mulch. See the tiny totems. These rocks came from King Salmon in Alaska. Mom's brother works for the Dept. of Interior and sends her cool things. It took Mom awhile to get them not to topple over. She said sometimes when you think something will fit together it doesn't and then when you never think it will work, it stands tall and strong. Life is funny like that.
We will put more pictures on here when we are all finished..... it will take a little while longer. Have a great weekend.

I like the rocks, they really rock :o) We have such rock towers in the forest of Merlin here. The people visit Merlin and they build rock towers while making a wish. I hope your mom makes a wish too and it will come true.
ReplyDeleteA rock garden is just as pretty as a flower garden...and there is less to plant. BOL I love it and I love the little surprise on the top of the rock. Have a great weekend!

We don't know why your dad laughs at your mom for planting rocks in her garden. Take our word for it, if Jan planted a garden, rocks are all that would grow.

ReplyDeleteEdgar and his mum
WOW that is just LOVELY.... we think your mom did a super job of putting it all together... We want to know if those are REAL ROCKS that came outta the King Sammin??? Do they EAT them or can they MAKE Rocks inside them? We know that the PERCH that we have around HERE have "STONES" in their heads... butt they are really just calcium... or so we have heard.
ReplyDeleteBUTT we digress... The garden is GRAND and we can't wait to see More of what she puts into it.
We are glad that Dietzman will do more posts.... even though he SCARES the poops outta us.
Howdy Mates. Oh. My. Dawg. Mum is soooo happy to hear you can plant rocks. She says there is no way, no bloomin way, she could kill them ahahahaha. We were wondering about your succulents. We have some in a pot but would they survive if planted cause we have some really cold weather in winter and frosts during spring. (Sorry we can't remember what your weather is like!). No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteOOO lookin good! I could leave some pee mail on those! Does your ma have pinterest? I thinks she could get tons of garden ideas! My ma goes CRAZY on pinterest!

Crikey ..... rocks, rocks, rocks!! That garden ROCKS!!!!! My Mum thought she was the only person in the world to collect rocks. She's got them from everywhere she's ever been. She writes on the bottom of them with a permanent marker just in case she forgets where they came from. She loves your heart rock!!
ReplyDeleteHey Stella,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know that you won our PawPack contest!
We also love rocks, and collect them from places we've been and walks we've taken around our property. I also love your garden, and I know it will be beautiful no matter what is planted and in any season!
ReplyDeleteI hope you've all had a great weekend!!
So, I want to know about Hens and Chickens. I have some Lamb's Ear and I think it would be a crack up to have a farm animal garden! Your rock garden looks so amazing and I can't wait to see what else you come up with!
