Today is Arty's flower Friday. Usually his sister Dory handles the flowers but sometimes a brudder has to step up and do udder fings he don't really likes to do. So we wanted to show you some of Mom's flowers from this year compared to last year.
This year:
This year:
The poppies are all gone now, and most of Mom's flower gardens are full of green plants, she needs to plant some white impatiens this weekend hers said.....IF she can turn her neck wif out screaming.....
Last year:
Remember when Mom ordered like 187 packages of special zinna colors ...well she saved the seed for this year and nuffin has came up yet......who knew......we finks it has been to cold and to wet for them to germinate. The beautiful butterfly bush is gone also.....weird weather in Iowa affects our pretty plants this year.
Thank you Arty for hosting this today....
NOW when I gots up this morning my meanie sister and brudder left this for me in my breakfast bowl.....
Yep friends its a picture of a BLACK ANGUS COW......remember Maggie teasing me that I was built like a little angus.....short, and stocky....they faught it was a big ole joke, the meanies....Mom finks I am just perfect although I did here her whisper to Dad last night, that I sorta am built like a little angus bull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!
See you back on Monday!

It has been so wet here too - last night was really loud and bright and WET, WET, WET!!! Mom got up really early because she was worried we were going to get some really bad storms. We just got lots and lots and lots of rain. The sun is finally shining so we are hoping our flowers will perk up after all this soaking.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are very pretty - we hope the zinnias are just being slowpokes.
Woos - Ciara and Lightning
AMcL, don't let that comparison bother you. Angus are considered the prize cow among cow lovers!

Well...Angus....we love Angus cows....so we think you're perfect. Maybe you should leave them pictures of pigs....we also like pigs, though. A baby Echidna looks strange and so does a baby Aardvark...maybe one of those pictures.....
ReplyDeleteWe wish we lived closer. We would come and help your mom plant her impatiens so she wouldn't hurt. The poppies are so pretty. Our mom just loves them!

ReplyDeleteI do love flowers, and think your Mom has a beautiful garden -- There is still plenty of time for those little seeds to sprout!
ReplyDeleteWe have "Angus" cows/bulls, whatever in the field across from us--I'll never look at them now and not think of YOU! :-)
Don't let Jan visit or all your pretty flowers will die. Siblings can be a real pain sometimes, can't they!
