I just wanted to let you know that when I went home to check on Stellie at noon she had resumed throwing bile up all over the place. We have a vet appt. around 400. She is not lethargic or acting sick, but her tail is hanging down and she just smells really bad from that bile. I told the Vet about the treats, and am taking them with me. I also talked to the company and they have had no reports of any other dog getting sick. I will try to blog after i get home, but if not I will for sure in the morning.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI have never posted on your blog, but read it regularly. I can emphasize with your concerns...every little non normal thing that happens to my guys I worry. I think the positive thing is she is drinking, eating and urinating. My husband likes to remind me that I don't always poop everyday and to to freak when they don't. As far as the vomiting...well, I also see that as a good sign hat her body is rejecting something. Maybe she just got into something and it needs to work is way out. Of course I would take her to the vet just to be safe. I pity the vet bill...ugh.
Keep us posted...paws crossed.
Paws crossed. Please let us know what happens at the vet.
ReplyDeleteWe will keep sending POTP. Hope it is just little a case of doggie flu.

We are thinking of you and Stella Rose...we hope that the smell is just her upchucking the yucky stuff...it is good that you think it is the treats, but do not just think of the treats. A while ago, my kiddos had the diahhrea runs and we attributed it to a new treat they had gotten the day before...turned out they all had a stomach crud that was sweeping through the area. So...be positive and know that the vet will run tests and make Stella all better.

Mama Mindy of The Slimmer Pugs
Also...has she been drinking any water? I would be more worried about dehydration right now with all that nasty bile.
ReplyDeleteMuch Love,
Mama Mindy
PS: The easy test for hydration...find a piece of skin that isn't fold and pinch it up...if it quickly goes down...she is fine...if it doesn't go down quickly...then she is dehydrated.
Sorry...not trying to scare you...but I do not like a sick puggy and I have had quite a few in the past few years.
Our prayers are going out to you... xx Hugs

I think I am already on record for telling Stella to quit scaring her 'rents. I am hoping it is a bug and NOT THE TREATS!!!! TREATS are sacred.
