LET my explain what happened at our house last week on the day of the important inauguration ...first we all went to be early so we could get up and head on over to all the events, well the winds were a blowing and it was very cold out BUTT we snuggled down with our parents for a good nights sleep.....yawn.........after sleeping for HOURS the sun came up and was shining in our faces.....
Stella: Why is the sun in our faces, when Momma gets up for work it is still dark?
Maggie: Maybe its cos I just brushed my teef and when I smile the brilliance lights up the day....
Angus: OHMYPUG the alarm DID NOT go off and I am going to be late picking up all the importants dignitaries that are riding in my car..OHMYPUG!!!! I AM LATE....I AM SO FIRED before I evens start my new job!!!!
Momma toles me to call down cos the electricity went off last night, and is still playing havoc with the lights, phones and computers....she would call up my BOSS and tell him I is on my way.
I brushed my teef real fast, threw on deodorant on under my arms, and legs. grabbed a Twinkie hand headed out the door. Thankfully I made it in time, I picked up my friends, and headed out .....whew!!!
Later the three of us went to Dory's PJ party and had a super great time. Lots of fun, friends and food.
Then over the weekend we went to Madi's box party....what fun....it was a very busy weekend, and when Sunday night rolled around we all three conked out in our beds and fell asleep. More rain fell last night so schools are closed not to far from us because of the ice but we are all warm and safe. WE are sorry we did not get to comment on any of the fun on everyones pages...Hopefully this week will work out better.
Angus and Momma

No worries, that can happen. The main thing is that you are ok and that you had no damage because of that power problem. I'm glad to have Officer Angus who has an eye on all bad boys and who can drive any thingy what has wheels, even a sled (how about some driving lessons for my momma?).

Glad da electricity are back!
ReplyDeleteLife is what happens when you have plans. We hate no electricity. It sucks. We have been luckily lately knock on wood. Hope the lights stay on for you.
ReplyDeleteSorry you didn't have any electrics at your house. Good thing the sun woke you up in time to get to your duties.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the squirrels are in the attic cutting off the electricity. Stay warm friends.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,

Mother Nature will wreak havoc on the best-laid plans! We had big winds too. Our internet/electricity was okay during them but big trees fell across our driveway. We all understand, and of course, you got the job done anyway! You are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCrikey .... you'd never get fired Angus. Things happen, mate!! No worries, aye??
ReplyDeleteWhat a close call that was...and after all the hard work you put in getting ready for that day! So glad you were able to make it on time, and that you're power has come back.
ReplyDeleteOh, you look so official!

You look great in uniform. And he who is in the uniform is the one who decides when things start so you can't be late
