FANKS

Fanks for all the kind words, questions, ideas and offers of help you sent our way yesterday.  We are sending all of our blogville family a huge hug.  Today is the first day of Macey's journey.  She is getting fitted with her compression hose. Sigh......

  3. Oh crap! We just wrote a long msg and Mr. Blogger ate it on us. Shame on him!!

We just got done reading all about sweet Macey and her condition. Thankfully you have answers. We are sorry that they are not simple ones through. Macey is strong and brave and we will be rooting and cheering her on. She has a lot of friends here in Blogville holding her hand along this journey in life. Hold your head high Macey, you have the best support around. (She'll probably "weather this storm" better than us adults.

Sending you all a ton of love and hugs from Florida.

    Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin (Kim too!)

  7. We're sighing, too. We're sure she'll adjust much easier than the adults. But you're right. It's so unfair.

  8. Deb,

I am behind due to a long work day yesterday. I am just catching up and I am so sorry about poor Macey. The months of not knowing and now to know and find out there isn't much that can be done. Sigh!

Children tend to deal way better with these things then we adults ever would. I am sure all the adults around Macey are going to learn a thing or two about living with a chronic disease.

  9. I went back and read your post about Macey. So Macey is missing her lymph nodes beneath the knee. I had mention to you I had seen a girl at my doctors office that had a genetic problem of missing her lymph nodes in her leg. So is Macey's the lesser secondary? Oh I should not ask. The teenager was wearing a funky striped compression hose so they must be available somewhere.
If I ever see her again I will ask her where she got her funky stocking from. I think about you and Macey often. The world is strange in that I met a young girl with what Macey has or similar.
    Thanks for being a friend

  10. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. My friend got her compression hose in a fabric that looks like a peacock. It's so beautiful it can make her smile when she wears it. Here's hoping Macey is comfortable with hers and it makes her feel better.

  17. I just read your last post, and I'm so sorry that it's not something simple. But, I'm glad it's also not something life-threatening. You're right - today is the first day of Macey's journey. Her smile and the sparkle in her eyes tell me that she's going to handle this with grace and strength, especially since she has such amazing humans around her.

  18. I just read about Macey's ordeal. I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this! I agree with the smart surgeon though; medical advances are so amazing these days and I'll bet they come up with something. Macey is a great little girl with a great family and she will do just fine in the meantime.

  19. I just read your last post. You are right there are worse things for a child to have been when you love a child everything they have is the worst thing a child could have. This is a complicated illness with a complicated cure but it sounds like the doctor is very smart and that Macey is in good hands and she has a wonderful supportive family. The most important thing for your family, and for Macey, is that you stick together during this, and don't fight with one another, even though there will be so much tension that the desire to snap at a loved one will be there, because Macey is going to need all of her family's strength to fight this illness. You are in our thoughts and prayers
