Contest

Just a reminder that the treat contest is over.  If anyone out there still has treats they want to send please leave me a post on this page.  The grandmonsters are coming over Tuesday night and Mom and I thought they would be the best judges (since they would be unbiased).  We will hold off on the judging if anything else is on its way.  Mom added some toys, leashes etc. to the box also.  She is going to send some memorial money in Turd's name, and request that it go to a puggie who needs some money for medical needs.  Turd would have liked that.

The leaves are all changing down at the park and looked beautiful when mom and I went downtown yesterday to get Sammer and me a cone.  Mom says change can be beautiful and painful all at the same time.  Mom was reading about the steps of grief and the healthy way to work through them.  It says if a person doesn't pay attention to how they are feeling and deal with it then it shows up in weird ways, like them feeling sick, or angry or depressed.  Mom is in "angry" right now mostly at my Dad.  He wants my old mom back and is having a hard time understanding why she is so emotional.  Mom told me it makes him uncomfortable to see her cry.  Mom cries at the weirdest times.  She is fine one moment and then she is a crying.  She just wishes she could use her robot powers to shut off all of her feelings and put her heart up in a box for awhile.

Thank you for all the kind comments and the cards that we have received.  They mean more than you know.

  1. DO NOT let your mom put her heart in a box. Makes things worse down the road. Your still in our prayers.

  2. It takes a lot of time and take that much needed time. Our Mom still cried and it's been two months since Tuni left. She brought Halloween decorations and lost it all over again...crying holding them. It's a hard road and we believe l=blogging helps it lets you know your not the only one feeling this way and gives you the support you need to begin to heal.

    Hugs to you all

  4. Be sure to snuggle your momma lots and let her know you don't mind her crying in your furs. It's what helps the most.

  6. It takes time ... be there to help your mama through this! Our mama lost a kitty before any of us got here and she still cries when she thinks about him. October is going to be really hard for her because Bailey came to her in October and he left in October - almost 12 years later. It's been five years since he went to the rainbow bridge but mama says she still misses him every day - she just doesn't cry every day. Hang in there!!!

  7. You are in our thoughts and we feel for you. Of course you will be emotional and of course it will just come out of the blue. Just take each day at a time. Try not to be angry with dad he is probably dealing with your loss of Trud in his own way. Much love hugs and kisses Molly.

  8. Stella, your Mommy is so lucky she has you to be by her side during this tough time. And tell your Mommy that I told you that Angel Trudie is right beside her all the time making sure the pain will eventually go away.

  10. You tell your mom to cry when she feels like it. And tell your dad to let her be. Dads like to believe that they can fix stuff and if they can't fix it, it makes them feel bad. Not everything can be fixed, even by superdads. That doesn't make them any less super.

PS, we forgot about the treats so ours are not on the way.
