BOOTS IN THE BARNYARD

You have heard our DAD say our back yard looks like a barnyard because of our farmers fence.  WELL our Mom doesn't care cos no one see's it cos we nevers have company that would care and it keeps us safe....

Because our house is as old as the hills and on the historical register MOM always keeps the front looking nice BUTT the backyard is where the real action is especially now that springtime thinks it has hit our end of IOWA.....MUD!!!!

ITS so muddy we could charge admission and start doing this in our backyard.

So yesterday MOM got the bright idea to fix it where she could walk across Alcatraz and not sink to her knees.  She went out to the local feed store (yep...???) and bought two of these.....

We thought at first she was going to make cool furniture or dog beds, or tables like they do on PINTEREST...but then we REMEMBERED we were a talking about our MOM.   Instead she laid it in the mud so she could step on it and get to the steps without mud all over her feet.

It looks very unsafe, and we are picturing MOM any minute catching her foot in between the boards and falling on her face.  WE actually asked Dad if he could set up one of those camera that peoples use to watch wildlife....(you can win monies on tv for funny videos)   he thought it was a good idea cos he has a SICK sense of humor like that.....so in the mean time this is what we are doing to enjoy the new look in our backyard barnyard

yep playing in the mud....boots in the backyard.

  8. Mates, that is some serious mud. We think your mum is a genius. You could tack some rubber matting over the top of the pallet thingy to help. Hope your mum didn't spew after Rory's photo. Oh well, if she did, you guys could clean it up for her. Oh oh, she's not spewing again is she? Bwahahahaha. Oh we're bad. No, no, we're good. Good we tell ya.
No worries, and love, Stella and Rory (good dogs).

  9. That is MUD! I don't blame your mom for trying to do something about it being tracked in but I know you're going to have fun rolling in the mud at some point!

  10. Your back yard looks like our back yard, a mud bath. But if Jan put those down in our pen, Marcus wouldn't be able to play soccer. And Jan would fall off anyway, so better mud on her shoes than on her butt. :)
