ARCH ENEMY
This is a picture of Mom's new arch enemy. It is new and lived at our house for three weeks. The first day Mom used it ..it made a loud clanking racket and she knew it was a lemon..it also wouldn't fill up on the rinse cycle so we had lots of suds in the arch enemy. Two weeks later the repairman from China arrived and said it was called an Energy Efficient Washer. Which in human words means its going to be loud and not fill up on the rinse cycles. Mom asked him how can it be efficient when I have to run it through the cycle more than once to get rid of the soap? He suggested she cut back on the soap. I can't write down what she suggested. We are now learning to live with our Energy Efficient Washer. We do smaller loads, use a teeny bit of soap, wash more often and use more water. Mom and I are confused on the concept of efficient. Oh yeah because there was nothing techinally wrong with the Energy Efficient Washer it cost her a service call of $134.00.....

Hi Stella Rose! Wesa so glad to have a new puggy furiend. Anywhos...we have a basement and have had energy efficient washers with fancy "electronic boards" go ka-blooey...so wesa have a cheaper energy efficient washer with no electronic boardy and it works fine. Hand towels sometime have a funky odor...not sure about that ones. Be sure you are using H.E. washing machine soaps...that could be a problems if you are not.

PS: That cast was awfulsomes Stella...now I have red owies all overs and mama puts antibiotic ointment and then wraps the areas so I cannot licky them. Poops on her!! :)
I had no idea that that's what "Energy Efficient" meant.

Now you no goose spread the word.
DeleteIs your mama using the hE energy efficient soapy? That's supposed to make less suds, at least that's whats I've heard...... I sure hope that wasn't your treat fund used to have the China repairman come visit!
ReplyDeleteI think it was a major rip off if you ask me!
ReplyDeleteWe got a new plain old cheap washer in January,, and it did not work- being brand new! More rip off's!

Mega rip-off these things are.......but as others have said we learn. My humans demon was the cooker that got changed 13 times. No kidding. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Oops...what a pain.
ReplyDelete$134.00 for the man from China to tell your mom that the washer is energy efficient and that there's nothing wrong with it? That washer is an arch enemy for sure!
ReplyDeleteAfter all that, our mom might swear too. And she doesn't swear. Mom's a bit of an eco-nerd and wouldn't get one of those washers. She washes full loads in cold water (hot when absolutely necessary) and hangs clothes out to dry. The HE washers, like hybrid cars, don't pay for themselves enough yet.
ReplyDeleteWe have an energy efficient washer and it does use less water. It seems it weighs each load or something. Of course now we have to use that HE soap - which you use less of I guess. It seems to be working okay. Good luck with yours!!!
ReplyDeletePS - Mom can send me a message or convo about ordering a hat at any time! I will be putting them up on etsy tonight or later tomorrow!
