See this picture of Macey? See her face? She is upset because Mom is still on the fence about my contest..and cos she had to poke her shirt into her jeans for her picture...but that is another story.
I still haven't made my 20 comments yet and mom is sticking to her guns on that one. I have 16 as I write this and some of them were mine. Mom was telling Dad last night what I had written about getting my blogging buddies to send me food cos she is food challenged and he thought it was pretty funny. (I guess he wasn't laughing later when he slept on the blow up mattress ..mom has no sense of humor about her cooking skills...)
Mom told us the only way she was going to do this contest is if I would turn over our treats we receive to a pug rescue. She said she would get a box and make a list of whoever sends me things, and put all their names along with the treats in the box. There is a pug rescue in the Midwest, and one in Southern Missouri. She said we could not keep the treats, cos it wouldn't be right! I pleaded with her, if we could keep any different treats that we had never tasted, and she wanted to know what that would be? After, all she says she keeps us in treats....well I didn't want to burst her bubble but when it comes to new and different treats...we mostly get our bully treats and thats all. I have been checking out the doggie stores I see on some of your blogs and I couldn't believe my little bulgy eyes..deer antlers, pretzel bully sticks, sweet potato treats and the list goes on and on.
At least Mom is thinking about it now....but we still need more comments! Please show my mom we are needy pugs at this house...we need treats...(what we really need is home cooked food but I can't let her know that cos she is crabby this morning)

Sent you an idea to share with mom. Simple but works for us. :)
ReplyDeleteyummy ms. parsley that sounds really really good...i will have to remind her to WATCH the water as it boils...she has the attention span of a gnat...and I say that with alot of love...she says she will make that this weekend! We will let you know how it turns out!
DeleteI'll say it again. I am prepared to head off to the store and get you all treats you have never seen before. I really wan to send them. If for nothing else than to make sure you have something more than frozen water. That's nice and all, but there is so much more out there.

We need to shout from the rooftops that my mom wants comments.

My momma doesn't make treats for us, but she's aces at shopping! She brings back all sorts of wonderful things from the store, or sometimes she lets us help pick stuff on the computer and have it sent straight to us!
ReplyDeleteMacey's face is priceless. I remember that face on my daughter when she just wanted her way. She is so precious.
ReplyDeleteI think treats are a NEED not a Want... and you should have TREATS. I'm just sayin.
ReplyDeleteIf I post 2 times Stella is your Momma counting them separately?
ReplyDeleteAw man, Stella. We have the best treats in the WORLD at our house. Maybe I should check out your contest.
ReplyDeleteTreats are easy to make ... we watch mama do it! But it's easier to just buy them from our furiends at Pugs In The Kitchen! You just order them online and they send them to your house! They are soooo yummy but you already know that ... we don't get any treats this payday - we agreed to give up our treat money to help our furiend, Brando, but that is okay 'cause we know mama will still give us treats!

Have a fabulous Friday with no crabiness.

We bet your mom could make dehydrated apples and sweet potatoes! Those are awesome, healthy treats. Slice the potato (core and slice the apple), lay flat on a pan, bake at 200 for 6 hours or so. You'll need longer cooking times for thicker slices. Or get a dehydrator. You turn that on and walk away! Super easy, super inexpensive and super healthy.
