NOT WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Margaret Mae here:

Not looking at the camera for my momma.

Fanks Folks for all your nice comments on our porch and flowers.  I do not know how momma got those blue bottles to grow, she is not sharing her secret, but I fink the bottle had something in them before she planted them, and a bunch of peoples stopped by and drank it up....well that is my theory...apparently for them to be planted and grow, humans must be loud, laugh a lot, and act a little stooped.

Also, last night my momma's youngest daughter, Kody's husband Cody (yes you are reading that right) stopped by while my DAD WAS AT WORK and redid Alcatraz to make it more secure and a little bigger.  It was hotter than **# outside (105 heat index) but after two hours they were all done.  Then mom stewed around all night about what our Dad would say.  See Dad hates change. He can tell when Mom moves his stuff a fraction of an inch, and always tells her about it, so imagine how he would feel about a different fence.  It doesn't even matter that it is better and safer, but it means CHANGE.  Mom was afraid he would fall over it in the dark so she fretted around.

Finally he got home around 10 and asked who did the fence.  Mom took all the blame but he did not believe her.  He actually did not say much bad things, until around 2 in the morning, when he woke Mom up and said it is much BIGGER (its not all that much bigger) and how are we supposed to get the lawn mower through the little gate.  Ummmm....Mom had not thought of that, guess she will have to weed eat it.  Mom doesn't get all shook up about this stuff, she calls minor cos in her life she has had to deal with some major stuff.  That teaches you a life lesson.  Anyways we will take a picture of our new fence and post it soon.

Stay cool today, Margaret Mae

P.S. Stella Rose tried to bite Dad again when he got ready to put her to bed, I fink she was sick of his mouth....bahhahahahahha.....

  4. Uhoh... not good when dad is mad... but better than when MOM is mad! We agree with Mom - don't sweat the small stuff! Just took the tour. Very pretty. I especially like that little turquoise table! Pretty color!

  5. I hate change too. I can't stand it when the UPS man drops a box off on the front porch, or mom buys something for the house, or dad leaves the ladder out. Ugh it drives me crazy I'm with your dad change is no bueno.

    Aroo to you,
    Sully

  6. Interesting dynamics to say the least! I laughed when I read the part about the mower! Maggie, you better tell Stella to take a chill pill when it comes to snapping at Dad. Not in her best interest!!!

  10. We are SURE that Stella didn't INTEND to snap at your dad.

OMD... we know how to solve the problem with the mower... PEE MORE... Pee kills Grass.. and stuffs... and if you PEE all over your new and BIGGER Alcatraz there won't be any mowing Required.
With the temps you are having drinking more... will keep you hydrated and KILL the GRASS even FASTER. Just sayin.

  13. It has been so hot here too. We have to go back and see those blue bottles you are growing. Thunder tried so hard to grow a stuffie tree, maybe he needed lessons from your Mom on unique gardening.

  18. We LOVE your house...my peep is trying to make hers look older. It's a lot of work. We think a safer fence is more important than the chance for something not so good happening. I'm sure your Dad will be OK with it when he can see it in the daylight!

  20. Kody's husband Cody?????? OMD! How did that happen?
Can't wait to see the fence Cody built. Dad'll get used to it. My Mum hates change too. She can also tell if anything in the house has been moved even a little bit. Very weird really!! She doesn't get cranky though. Just huffs and puffs a bit.
