COME TAKE A WALK WITH US

GOOD Morning Friends, today I am your tour guide and I would like you to come walk wif me in our yard.  You can call me Mr. Angus McConnell or Baby Gussie, whichever you like.  It often depends on my behavior at that moment as to what my Momma calls me.
Please don't look at that floor, we are still a work in progress at our house.  Momma finks next month we may be able to put down some new flooring.

First we are gonna stop and look at my Momma's favorite flowers, see them sitting on the dry sink that hers painted....you don't haf to water them or anything, sometimes Mom vacuums the pug hair off of them though.

These are zinna's.  Mom favorite kind of flower seed to plant.  Every Sunday she brings in new ones for us to see and it make our old kitchen pretty.  This years Momma ordered zinna seeds from amazon for a gazillion dollars, but they didn't even grow very well, INSTEAD the cheapo Walmart seeds is what grew.  She is sticking with Walmart from now on and spending that extra money on us.
Her momma gave her that blue splashware pitcher.  Mom is going to try to save all her seeds when she deadheads the zinna's this year.  Last year she did that, but she put them up so well, she can't find them....so she had to buy more...

This is our porch.  Mom and Dad and us are out here all the time when the weather permits.  Mom is getting ready to add a chaise lounge to it so we all can relax on her while she reads.

We have hanging plants on the porch and other plants sitting around on little tables.  It is a very old porch and the landlord never spends money to fix it up so we just do the best with what we have.

Mom spray painted this little table pink and put her caladiums on it.  See those little chickens Ms. Mary Ann, we put them there so we will always think of you.

We also spray painted this little table and put on of Mom's spider plants on it.  It looks pretty.  Lets head on outside now.

Little Tweedles Mom and Ms. Mary Ann sent momma zinna seeds and marigold seeds also.  We planted some of them in pots and put them on our front step.  They look very pretty.  They are in the hot sun though all day long so we have to water them a lot.

This is half of our front yard.  We have a limestone wall that goes all around the front of our house.  Here are more zinna's and over in the corner is a blue bird bath full of little geodes for the birds to sit on.  See our marigolds Tweedles.

This is an old john deere trike that the grandmonsters had a long time ago.  Mom is using it as a planter now...lol...Dad got her that big ole teapot.

Do you remember when Grandma Teri went to Heaven back in January.  Well Momma and little Macey who is 6, planted seeds of impatiens in this barrel....without Macey knowing it, Momma also added some plants ...you know "just in case".  Macey is very proud of her memory barrel.

We are growing blue bottles in this flower bed.

Mom calls this the ugly part of her yard.

See these geese, Cammie and Maggie.  They don't even run away from us when we try to pee on them.

Mom needs to get these succulents planted this week.  We are under a heat advisory for today though so she will haf to wait until it cools off a bit. 105 heat index.  We are staying inside.

Part of Alcatraz.  Mom's son in law is coming over this week and they are working on the fence, and making it different and better. Sshhhh...it is a secret our dad does not know.  Look for a big plume of smoke tomorrow night, that will be him exploding when he finds out.

These plants are every farmers nightmare.  Morning Glories in all colors....Tweedles sent us some and we bought some also...Mom says she needs to go out and move some of the vines though cos they are all growing up two strings, not all the strings, she is afraid it will break.  We are hoping one morning we will come out on the porch and see all kinds of flowers for the hummingbirds.

Right now it is 8:20 in the morning of the heat wave BUT it is dark like nighttime because we are under a severe thunderstorm warning, it is starting to rain so we had better all get home.  Thank you for coming to our tour ...we hoped you enjoyed it.

Your friend

WE ARE BLOGVILLE

Wesa don't really nose if wesa haf this figured out or not...but our buddies, the dood boys Murphy and Stanley are doing this great thing today about us friends and neighbors here in blogville so we finally got hold of momma and we are jumping in.

There is me, the brightest star in Momma's sky, Stella Rose Long.  I am what started this pug crazy at our house.  I am 4.5 years old, and I hold a very special place in my Momma's heart.  She calls me her pretty girl.

Here is Margaret Mae.  She is almost 2 years of age.  She loves DAD, Mom and Gussie and that's it.  We don't know why she is the way she is but we would not really change her...well maybe we would a little so she would like me.  She loves the grandmonsters also.

Angus McConnell is Mom and Dad's little boy who is 1 years of age.  He loves Momma and tries hard to make her and all the womens in his life happy.  Currently he is stalking Puddles and it is not working very well for him.

We live in Iowa way down in the Southeast.  Where it is hot and humid in the summer and cold as #$ in the winter.  We do not understand why we live here.  We live in a village the size of 5,000.00 in Van Buren County.  It is on the Des Moines River, so that is pretty cool.
We love Blogville and wish we could move there.  We are blessed having so many of you as our friends through thick and thin, tears and joy.  WE ARE BLOGVILLE.

GUESTS

On Sunday Momma toles us we had better be on ours best behavior cos "company" was a comin...we faught and faught who it could be and wondered if it was my Santy Claus coming to asked me to be the next new reindeer, Maggie said not to holds my breath...hers is mean sometimes to me.

So we got all dressed up, and helped mom pick up our toys and then we heard our company coming up the steps.

It was our Uncle Charlie!!!!

He was so excited to see us that he broke his collar racing for the door, so Momma gave him a new collar to wear home.

He loves visiting us.

Maggie on the other hand HATES visitors and she lets them know that by barking at them 342 hours straight!!!!  Charlie didn't understand her problem wif him visiting my momma and daddy.

See that spot on the rug, well one of the grandmonsters spilled their orange pop!!!  I bet you humans faught I did it!!!  I toles Charlie to go home and he wouldn't listen to me at all!!

I, Angus, kept nipping at him trying to get him to run and play wif me.  I toles him he looks like he needs to run a whole bunch, and Momma grabbed holes of my ear and toles me that was not nice to say.  Charlie toles me he has a thyroid problem and he eats a lot less food then isa does and he still is chunky.

Grandpa Russell was probably ready to go home after he gots to our house like in 20 minutes, cos of the barking, and loud grandmonsters....he said he had a good time but isa fink he was just being nice.

Monday Mumblings

See who this box is from???  Sarge!!!  See who it is addressed to???? ME!!!

Isn't this flower beautiful...it is what I won in Mollie's Auction to help out her friend's momma with her vet. bills.  Mom and I love it!!!!!

But

Sarge also sent ME all kinds of other goodies, like new stuffie squeaky toys, and then all kinds of goodies for my momma.  It was so fun going through the box and finding all the surprises!  Mom has put them all to use.  Thank you so very much Sarge!!!

Keeping It Real, is Mr. Pip's book that we won awhile back.  We leave it out on our coffee table because we want our guests to meet him, and give us the chance to tell them his story.  So peoples look at us a little funny and others understand the love we haf for our friends, even the friends that let us shoot them out of the cannon across our street.

Or ride on a seaplane together

Mom reads us Mr. Pips book at night, its our favorite bedtime story.

Mom finally had to go to the Dr. about how the problems she is having wif her muscles.  The Dr. said maybe RLS or maybe not.  She put Mom on a med. called Requip and Vitamin D and Momma thinks it is helping a little bit already.  If not down the road Mom will have to go see a Neurologist....Momma has had these problems for a very long time but they have gotten much worse in the last 6 months...sometimes that is why she doesn't blog as much.  We just wanted you to know.

DEAR SPAMMERS

So we is at it again, reading ours FAN MAIL from our buddies the SPAMMERS, they send us the nicest compliments and we wanted to share some of them wif you.

Maggie
Maggie chose this pose cos sometimes hers is mean and hers is sending a silent message to our friends the SPAMMERS.  Mom says its best if we don't talk about hers behavior.

1. Keeping your body physically fit is very important and can keep away various illnesses.  This is not a question Spammer, get on the ball or go home.

2. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your quotes as long I give you the credit?  As a matter of fact I do mind if you do's that cos I fink someday my words are gonna be as famous as my cartoon hero Scooby Doo and I don't want you misquoting me, sometimes that happens to the famous peoples and they haf to go to their lawyers and gets lots of monies...do you have lots of monies Spammer?

Stella Rose

1.  Wow just what I was looking for!! Came by here looking for pillow pets coupon.  Maggie would be very mean to you if hers would haf got this comment but I fink it is okay that you compare us to pillow pets, wesa been compared to a lot fings in our lifetimes.  I fink in my other life I could have been a pillow pet only the breathing kind.  I hopes you find your coupon for your pillow pet if not they haf them on sale at Walmart right now!

2. My brother suggested I may like this website...He was totally right. It truly made my day, you cannot believe how much time I have spent searching for this info.  I just wonders if you are related to that other person last week whose brother told everyone on the internet about hers problems, if not then I is glad you like our website, and how ours simple words made you happy.  I is hoping your brother is not leading you astray and what you really need cannot be found on our page.  Maybe you should tell us what yousa looking for so if we find it wesa will call you.

Angus McConnell

This is my studious picture.  I faught I look like a professional writer heres.

1. You are so cool!!  I do not think I have read anything like this before..so nice to discover someone with unique thoughts on the e-cigarette.  Isa has nevers evers evers wrote about those e-cigarettes, you haf mistaken me for someone else.  I do agree though that yousa are correct about me being way COOL and that I write in a unusual way, maybe I said EAT and you faught I said E-Cigarettes, cos they do sound the same.  Anyway fanks for saying I is cool, I tells myself that a lot cos the girls aren't good abouts making sure my self esteem is growing.  It is my mantra before Isa goes to sleep. I tell myself Gussie yousa cool, Gussie yousa cool...and then I falls asleep.  You should try it.

2. Did you know it is possible to open the box that your motherboard came in and follow the manual and see the things for free and not devalue them?  Ummmm Spammer haf you been smoking those e-cigarettes, or what!!  Isa don't know what a motherboard is but I knows if it has to do wif my mom I had better not be opening anyfing up or isa will be sitting back on time outs....also we like to get free fings in the mail, cos usually it is for us pugs which can irritate our dad cos he nevers gets free stuffs since wesa came to live at this house.  I offered our free antlers to hims the other day to chew on and he said words that were not very nice.  I toles him "Dad nuffin in life is free" and he told me to quit being a smart+##.....Hes grumpy like that sometimes.  Anyway fanks for telling us about that mother fingy we will keep a look out for it.

Have a great Wednesday.

Tweedles sent my Momma seeds and hers planted them in pots, they are growing beautiful so when we sees them we hold Tweedles close in our hearts.

CHANGE

This is me when I was 6 months old.  See how beautifulist I is.

This is my now at 4.5 years old.  Momma says I is still  beautiful.

Some of you know my story of how Isa comes to live wif my momma and daddy and some of my newer friends don't.  Lets just say, I came from the cruelella deville puppy mill at 4 months of age, but I soon learned that love would take care of all my issues except one.  My eyes.  So for 4 years the frankenvet has been telling Momma my eyesight was getting worse (as in 99.6 % Stella cannot see), even though she uses all the medicine they prescribe.

My Mom is an ostrich when hers heres this, and mostly just ignores him and goes on wif our lives, until this weekend.

Mom has always believed that I needed to be treated just like the other two crazies that live wif me.  If they go somewhere to run around, I go somewhere to run around, eyes be damned.  She takes me to the park, (sometimes I ride in my stroller) and to the lake, and to see grandpa and grandma, and the grandmonsters.  She has never treated me differently cos of the eye issue.

BUT on Sunday I was laying by my momma resting and relaxing and Dad decided we all needed to go outside.  So he reached down to get me and I snapped at him, and tried to bite him.  He was shocked and so was Mom.  Dad was upset, but Mom just told him to tell me next time what he is going to do.  THEN later that evening I did it again to Dad, .....now Mom is sad.

She pulled her head out of the sand, and started noticing all the changes as far as my eyes that I am going through.  I tip my head way back when she talks to me, I got lost at the fairgrounds last week, even though I was standing a few feet away from momma, I have a hard time finding my stuffies in the toy box, and now I snap at my Dad.

Mom tole me last night that we will get over this hurdle,(she is making an appt. for the good vet just as a checkup) and that change is not always bad, it is just new and different.  The important thing is I am still hers and she is still mine.  That is the important thing.

Love Stella Rose

CHEWY REVIEW

Its late of course, but that is how our life has been lately, late or activities thrown by the wayside, such as our walks and fun at the fairgrounds.  Mom says its way to hot, we fink hers is just to tired or Late getting home.  Late is not a good word.

So of course we loves Mr. Chewy and his helper named Mr. Andrew.  Wesa often wonders if Mr. Andrew's last name is Chewy...Isa need to ask hims that.  Stella Rose said to leave well enough alone, cos we always gets our treats each month, and if Isa opens my big mouf to Mr. Andrew they might stop.  I toles her Mr. Andrew is smarter than the average bear, and he likes us getting our treats.  Sometimes Stellie Rose is an ole stick in the mud or pug in the mud in ours case.  I sneaked a picture of hers getting her bath before hers brushed her teef.....to send to Mr. Andrew.

Hers is gonna be very mad at me, cos now hers picture naked is splashed all overs the internet.  I finks hers looks like a stuffie in the face bahahhahaahh

Anyway after hers bath hers has to brush her teef and guess what????????  that is what ours review is all about.....

FALLIN DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE

Sometimes ours momma falls down the rabbit hole and it takes hers awhile to climb back up.  Hers toles us she often runs into peoples like this picture while hers is down there, ....and she misses us, and wishes we could saves her.

Hers toles us that work is often times like the rabbit hole.  It takes up all her daylight time and all her nighttime and doesn't even leave us a sliver of hers to go around.  She misses out on important stuff like us going to the Pug Ranch Tavern, hers promised hers would join us for an ale, and wishing Dad good luck on his new job, and even tucking us into ours bed at night.  Dad has forgotten for two weeks that we needs to brush ours teef.

But today hers came home at lunchtime and visited wif us.  She told us she can finally see a light at the end of the hole, .....that means hers will start to be home more.

There are many more important things in life that what the rabbit hole offers.........

Drake's 6th birthday, and McKenna getting ready to go to church camp on Sunday...these are what is important.

SHIVER ME ...FISH STICKS......

So I sent my Momma an email at work cos hers is working so late this week, and  wesa in our beds when hers gets home at night.  I asked her if we could go to Long John Silver's the SEAFOOD PLACE for lunch on Saturday.  Hers replied but first her asked me what the hey I am doing on the computer and how did I figure her password out, and then hers broke my little heart by saying No Long John Silvers cos hers has to work on SATURDAY!!!!.  BUT hers could bring home frozen fish sticks for supper.  WHAT FROZEN FISH STICKS HOW GROSS!!!  But that is EXACTLY what hers did.

I was so mad that I gobbled up my share, and Maggie's share, BUTT at least I was smart enough to know Stella Rose would have killed me, if I touched her food.  THEN I had a huge belly ache!!!  Momma gave me some pepto bismal along with time out to my bed.  I was in trouble for being a piggy pug.

I tossed and I turned and turned and tossed and finally I fells  fast asleep.

First I dreamed of my Sweet Liberty
and then I dreamed of my friend Sweet....cough..cough Puddles

but onlys hers had a PARROT body and hers was sitting on Frankie's shoulder.

I tried so hard to wake up but I just couldn't.  I was trapped in this dream or was it a dream?????  All around me was fog in the air and when it cleared ...here I was on a pirate ship in a crate,
I was SHOCKED, and STUNNED, and I faught oh NOSE my MOmma has shipped me off to military school, and Frankie the Pirate is escorting me , BUTT then I looked around some more and realized  I was captive, in a cage that I fink Murphy and Stanley had built, heading out to sea...far away from my momma!!!!!!

I was stunned and my brain was turning wif reasons....  Was this an elaborate plan to sell me to the highest bidder???  AND what was puddles doing sitting on his shoulder???

So finally I got tired of wondering  and I  Hollered LOUD over to FRANKIE about what he was doing wif us?  Frankie said he had heard that I was a gluttonous little pug and I ate all the fish sticks so he decided he needed to give me a time out I would remember!  I was shocked, this is not the Frankie that I know and love....and then I asked him, why Puddles was a parrot setting on his shoulder and he said he didn't Nose the answer to that, cos this was my dream.

WELL I toles Frankie right then to get me out of this crate, and take me back to land.  Frankie said the onliest way I could get back to land, was if Isa swam!!!

As I dived off the plank I hollered back at Frankie,  .......

WHERE IS THE IDAHO PUGS TAVERAN?????????????

HAPPY PRIRATE DAY FRANKIE.....STELLA ROSE, MARGARET MAE, AND OF COURSE ANGUS MCCONNELL.

SPECIAL THANKS TO LINDA AND CAROL WITHOUT THEIR HELP WE WOULD HAVE NOT HAD ANY PICTURES!!!!!
