Its always hard to understand why some prayers are answered and others are not. I know Easy is loved by one and all, and when he got sick, heaven was overloaded with words of encouragement and love for this boy and his family.
Easy though has never taken the path of the familiar and often made his own road for the day, even now. So with our heavy hearts, and many tears, one more part of our family, this blogville tribe says goodbye. He will be dancing in the stars forever, and each time we look at the brilliancy in the sky, he will forever take our breath away.

THAnK PUGNESS for Princess Leah or mom would have FOrGOT Mags birthday, Poor Maggie is still waiting on her pressies.
Mom tries to touch base on facebook but it is not the same EVER, cos blogville is Number one ......
I hope all our friends are well, and happy. and Happy and well.

A PICTURE IN HER POCKET
I toles my mom the other night when Jes's dad went to heaven that all those little pugs of his waiting at the rainbow bridge was a dancing and a singing, and a hugging on him, giving him those sweet puggie kisses. Mom said she thought so too, and she even thought that they would have the most wonderful time together from now on. I told her I was worried about how Jes and Lily were doing.
Mom said they were just fine, they were doing their job of hugging on their mom, and laying close by her just to show how much they love her. Mom said we are like anxiety medicine, in a more healthy way, as soon as humans touch us, their spirit calms down, and their brain starts to think more clearly.
I asked Mom if we were packing our bags, and leaving for Missouri, so we could be present at the funeral, and she said sadly that we could not go, but she had came up with a plan. She said she had been thinking and thinking of something important and special to do for Mary Ann, and finally she figured it out. (mom did share she is going down to spend a weekend soon)
See, Mary Ann and my mom are best friends, they are family, and have shared some funny memories, and some sad memories, you know like family does. Mom even has a memory that involves threatening Mary Ann with duct tape on a trip from Iowa to Indiana over the summer. Luckily she did not have to follow through with that threat.......lol............We love Mary Ann, and are sad that we cannot be there this week for her.
Instead, though Mom will be there right beside her, when she first picks out what she is wearing, when she is thanking friends and family for coming to see her, when she listens to the music playing, and even when they hand her the beautiful red, white and blue flag. When Mary Ann feels like she can't find her breath, or when her words are tired, and when the tears come, Mom will be there, and all she will have to do to find her extra strength, is to put her hand in her pocket. Its simple.
Sometimes our life is to LOUD, and to BUSY and way to HARD..........and in all the hubbub of todays world simple is hard to be found, in fact simple could almost be extinct. So Mom decided simple may be the best gift she can give to her best friend/family right now.........a picture in the pocket.
Simple.

HI FRIENDS
WE feel like we are looking in from the outside, through a window filled with Blogville and all our friends and all the activities that we are missing. Its HARD for mom to even find one day a week to post a blog or answer comments.
Mom just got done with her first 13 day work stretch. It was hard, and long, and tiring, and 5:00 in the morning is not always pretty--and she drives to work in the dark, and comes home in the dark....and she is whiney and grumpy.
We miss you all and we feel like we will never find our way back to you. In our brains we know it will not last forever, and we are brave, in our hearts we are not brave and we are sad.
Today we are sad about Mary Ann our dearest friend whose husband passed away early this morning, some of you met her at the BAR with sweet Jes. We are also very sad about some of our friends here in Blogville who has went to the bridge since we have been gone. SAD.
Maybe mom should be her own patient at that wacky clinic she works at........do you think they have a pill for "missing blogville"?

WE ARE BACK FOR A DAY
I was a little girl here.
Mom is in the middle of her 13 day work stretch, she is on day #5. It seems that it is much harder for us to get on here, and read comments or even post once a week, and we are ashamed to say Facebook, it is fast and easy for us to like something or comment quickly and check on our friends.
That being said, it is still nothing like our Blogville, and being part of this family. Mom tells us it will not be like this forever and before long we will be back blogging happily and answering your posts.
A wonderful thing happened because of Blogville and we wanted to share it with you. Well, you all know our Macey. And her lymphedema. Finally, after fighting insurance companies and medical supply companies Maceys $8,000.00 pump arrived a few weeks ago.
Once a day for one hour she uses it, we can see some difference in her foot and leg, but we also can tell that she must be faithful and always keep on her schedule. She is handling the routine very well.
So that was good news, BUTT here is even better news. Last week Charlie's mom from downunder posted a letter that her granddaughter had sent to the prime minister asking for his permission for an angora rabbit. Apparently, there is a rule that where she lives no one can have rabbits. Grandmas started talking and came up with the idea that maybe Macey and Josie could be REAL snail mail pen pals. What a grand idea.
So here is Macey at the post office mailing a Halloween card to her faraway friend. Whooohoooo....see how blogville impacts our life so wonderful!!!
On Saturday mom did not have to work so she had three of the grandgirls over to our house to make chocolate covered apples ........well you know how pinterest items do not always look like our own......
Piper, McKenna and 1/3 apple on a jumbo stick.
Macey stirring the chocolate.
Macey decorating the apples.
Where's Piper?
Macey and Piper with Halloween teeth.
Completed leftover apple slices.
In the little village of Bentonsport, buying pumpkins later in the day.
So Mom and the girls had a great day. We three pugs mostly laid around hoping something sweet would be dropped on the floor to us. We did snuggle with the girls while they watched the new goosebumps movie.
(One year ago today our dad had his work accident. It has been a long and changing year for our family. He has his last appt. with the back doc yesterday so the next step in his life is to do a Function Capacity Test. The doc yesterday told him he has at least a 30% loss with his arm, and we do not know the results of the back yet. We are glad this year is almost over. Always though there are people and families in much much worse places then ours, we have an immense amount to be thankful for, so please send your prayers today to others struggling when we may not even know.)
We will be back.

GROWING
NO one told us these kittens would be growing. I thought they would stay tiny, so we would always be in charge of them. We told mom to sell them to the gypsies.
Tiny little Henri.
Tiny little Ellen.
I thought I was in charge in this house. (gus)
Bigger Ellen.
Bigger Henri. Mom tried to get a close up but he won't hold still.
Now we have a cat tree in OUR TV room.

FRANKENVET VISIT
MOM fooled us. We thought we were getting ready for trick or treating and candy.
Instead we were really going to see our own Frankenvet.
Mom drugged us with a anti-anxiety drug.
We are researching the amount of prison time for that. We need to make sure we can stand living wif our dad alone for that long before we call the district attorney. We may give her a pass this one time. Living with Dad alone, is scarier.
WE did great. Gussie did not even scream one time. Nails, butts, and two rabies shots done. The Frankenvet loved our prison clothing. It is appropriate we told her cos we live and play in Alcatraz.
Mom is learning her new medical job. Sometimes she answers the phone, "law office"..........um......we wonder how long they will keep her.

BARK LIKE A PIRATE DAY------AND OTHER NEWS
We remembered.
We have been gone for awhile now, and Mom knew she needed to write this post but has been putting it off. Today is our 980th post, so we only have 20 more to go to hit the big 1,000...which we will....down the road.
In a few weeks it will be one year since our Dads accident. Wow, has he went through a lot in this year, and so have we puggies, and our momma. Dad is almost done seeing all the doctors and will be doing some tests to see if he can even work anymore in his life. The arm doc told dad that he has a permanent frozen shoulder and he can only lift it so far. So more changes, and adjustments. One new change at our home is mom is going to be working at a second job. She will be working as a medical receptionist at a walk in clinic about 30 min. from home. She is nervous and excited about her new job. She will still have her old job just different hours, so it will be harder to blog.
Mom loves to blog, and she loves us, and loves sharing the funny stuff about us with you. So don't give up on our mom if you don't see her as often. She still checks your blogs to make sure everyone is okay, and will try hard to comment. She is not leaving blogville, just slowing down for awhile.
She does get on facebook and check on peoples also, so you will see her there around ......
From Mom:
My friends sometimes there just is not any words to tell you all how much you mean me and my family. You have been there through so much, and have always helped out whenever I asked anything of you. I know I can always count on you, and that makes the folks here very rare, and hard to find in the whole world. You are truly what every family should strive to be. Blogville.

MR. CHEWY AUGUST PUGS REVIEW
DID you notice the kittens got to do THEIR review FIRST. Yep now you know they run our house and pay no attention to the PUG RULES found on the wall beside their inside beach.
So this month we chose to try Whole Earth Farms, Natural Salmon Stew which is MADE IN AMERICA and all natural.
So Mom gets our breakfast ready by first putting our dry kibble in each of our bowls. We eat grain free kibble and then Mom mixes some of this stew in with it. We are so picky mom says but we loved this salmon stew.
See how meaty and chunky it is. The chunks are super soft so mom just smashed them down, put some of the gravy in with it, and we went to town filling our bellies.
We cleaned our bowls.
High Protein
All natural fruits and vegetables and nuffin from China.
Five stars.
We were paid nuffin to say these good fings.

AUGUST MR. CHEWY REVIEW
Henri: Um......mom we are late with our Mr. Chewy review. I am so embarrassed!
EL: Well lets get this late show on the road Mom!
This month was our first time reviewing for Mr. Chewy and let us tell you it was one of our most wonderfulest experiences in our very young lives. This is what arrived at our door. We heard it calling our names.........Henriiiiiiiiiiiiii..............Elllllllllllllllllllllllen................come eat me.
Yep we ordered the variety pack of Tiki Cat---Aloha Friend. This box held 12 pouches of a 3 oz. size of cat food in four varieties. There was Tuna with Tilapia & Pumpkin (3), Tuna with Ocean Whitefish & Pumpkin (3), Tuna with Shrimp & Pumpkin (3) and Tuna with Calamari & Pumpkin Every morning it was like we were on vacation on some wonderful island, with our pretend beach, (scratch ...scratch...cover......you know that stuff called kitty litter) and our food filled with all flavors of seafood. WE LOVED IT ALL!!!
Mom mixed it in with our dry kitty food, cos she was not sure how it would do in our young bellies by itself.
Mom liked the cool packages it came in. She would take a spoon, take some out, and fold it down and put it in the refrig till our next meal.
It took one month to finish up 12 pouches because we are still little so at a cost of $10.69 that was a great deal.
We give this Tiki Cat food 5 stars for sure.
Here are the things we really liked about it.
No Grain
No Gluten
No GMO
and the tuna is always fresh. What more could we have asked for?

What did you want for your 11th birthday? What would you have wanted if it might be your last birthday celebration? What wish would u make when you blew out that candle on your beautiful birthday cake? These are questions no one should ever have to ponder let alone a 10 year old girl. These questions are what a little 10 year old girl has thought about, these very much real questions. Her name is Ava and she lives in Bondurant, IA. Ava, is a warrior like most warrior kids who are fighting the unfair & cruel battle against Cancer. This warrior isn't shy to the battlefield, she has fought this battle once before as a toddler. Cancer picks our bravest children our brave loved ones to go to war. We have no choice w...e have no volunteer to take their place not even a time out. It's you, you have been chosen so the war begins sometimes before we even know we are at battle. And sometimes the risk of the tactics to win the battle is that we might get chosen again. As cruel and heartbreaking as it is, it happens. Ava has been chosen to battle again and she is showing how brave she truly is, clear down to her soul. The bravest warriors always do. Since there is nothing most of us can do but send our positive thoughts, our pleading prayers for her to fight & win, her family has decided that this year her golden birthday will be the party any brave warrior deserves. So what does this brave warrior want? A pony? A day being treated as a real princess? An easy bake oven? Nope, none of these things...
She wants just a simple birthday card, okay she wants lots of birthday cards. So since no warrior should ever receive just one birthday card, we are asking for anyone, any grandma, any parent, any child, any office, any school, anyone and from everywhere just to send a birthday card to this brave little warrior so she knows we all wish her the best birthday ever ... A birthday unlike any warrior has ever seen! Mike Graves, a friend of the family will be delivering any cards he receives for Ava at her birthday party on Sept 11, 2016. Can you imagine getting birthday cards from across the city, the state, the country, or even the ocean? So please join us and send a birthday card to Ava @ Mike Graves -cards for Ava 104 9th ST SE Altoona, IA 50009 . I honestly hope that they we receive so many, that we have deliver tubs of cards to her! To see a warrior smile is truly the best smile on earth. Cards can be homemade or store bought, Ava just wants birthday cards :) please send them soon as you can!

OUR COTTON
Little Cotton.
The next thing I knew she was swinging her rope in the air, and away it flew right on the most beautiful blue part of the rainbow. I ran into the house to grab our mom to make her get Cotton down and when mom and I came back, running, she was gone.
SHE NEVER LISTENED TO ME!!!!
I know that telegram had something to do with her leaving, and we three pugs and mom and dad are super sad, and mad, and sad. and MAD. and sad.
So late last night I went out to my special tree in the back yard to wait to see if Little G was coming to see me.
I will be watching you my love.
Angus Mac
We are never sure if the M on her forehead stands for "marvelous" or "monster".
So the other day Cotton received a special stamped telegram for the "big guy" himself, yes all the way from the Heavens above. Since I am her dad and must monitor all her internet action and mail I opened it first. Well imagine my surprise when he was offering her a special job of welcoming all the new kittens onto the rainbow bridge. Playing wif them, hugging on them, batting them around, you know making them feel at home.
Well I discussed this telegram wif Maggie and Stella Rose and we decided that just would NOT work for us, and we threw it in the trash without telling anyone. After all Cotton was our family and we loved her even with some of her rather annoying traits.
I. Forgot. About. It.
Then Sunday morning at 10:30 Cotton came and told me she had decided she was going to lasso that rainbow that was over our house. I told her no, it was very dangerous, and so dangerous it had never been chosen even as a PawOlympic event. I put my foot down.
I waited a long time, and pretty soon I heard her whispering in my ear. She told me that its hard for two leggers and four leggers to realize they have nothing in this world called 'control" as much as they wanted to believe they do. That there is a much higher power with a plan for each of us, four and two legged. And sometimes that plan breaks our hearts, and that is when we learn to trust more, and believe more and hope more. Well for the first time ever I just wanted to shove sweet Little G right out of that tree. She is a smart little pug though and she knew all my feelings. So she just held my hand for the rest of the night. And right before the sun was coming up in the morning, she handed me this paper. And then she was gone.
I will be watching you my love.
