REORDER

Take a DEEP breath MOM...breath....poor MOM has been waiting forEVER on our USB cable from the deep dark jungles of Amazon dot com, yesterday she decides to check and see if the monkeys had it swinging on the vines or what and found out the order didn't go through...it didn't exist....it didn't happen....DEEP breath MOM.....MOM thinks we are going to be eleventy hundred years old before you see another new picture....today we placed another order....sigh

Last night Mom was cooking supper and she kept smelling smoke and assumed someone was grilling outside...she let us out in Alcatraz to run around for 2 1/2 min. cos it is freaking HOT outside and when she came back in the house she realized her wooden spoon was to close to the burner.  MOM.....geeze.....oh well at least there was no calls made to the fire station and our supper didn't look like this!
Have a great WEdnesday

85 Blessings

SIGH...this is last years picture cos we are STILL waiting on that camera cable coming from the deep dark jungles of the Amazon....anyway I am waiting on that new baby that will be born across the pond..I think since I have my crown on I should be one of the first visitors that baby has.

Today I woke up thinking about all my blessings and how each and everyone of you is counted in them. I never knew how good I would feel when Momma finally took the leap and moved to Blogville.... that after the movers left and we got the house in order you all would be standing by our door bearing gifts of friendship and treats!  Long, after Mag's, I and Gussie have chowed down on the treats, the friendship still shines each day.

We have had so many fun experiences with you guys, and some sad ones also.  Blogville is alot like life ONLY more accepting of our differences, and more focused on our goodness.  When I think of helping out each other in times of sadness or worry I picture a long line of furkids standing there sandbagging that wall while the river gets higher.  We just keep working together, and building that wall of strength, and we do it with patience, and love and teamwork AND when someone gets to tired, well another one steps up in their place.  After Sammer and Trudie went to the Bridge I was very depressed and very sad.  My mom sat me down one day and told me that blessings come in very different packages, and sometimes are hard to recognize. Sometimes we don't even see them with our very own eyes, but if we listen and feel, our heart will show us the way.  Of course, she was referring to Margaret, and I do believe in this case, MY MOM may have been wrong, or on the down side of a wine glass..but in either case....I understand what she is telling me AND I WILL ALWAYS SEE YOU AS MY BLESSINGS.

UPDATE ON KYLEI and the GIRLS

WELL we wanted to let you know that Kylei has pneumonia and is really sick.  Her oxygen sat's were in the low 80's...hopefully with lots of predisone and strong med's she will begin to feel better, the little girls have bronchitis and they loaded them up with med's.  Everyone has really high temps. The Doctors said it was all contagious.  I guess the STOOPID doc. from the ER was wrong and they certainly needed more than over the counter cough syrup!!

BUSY WEEKEND-UPDATE ON BEAR

Well my Momma had a busy weekend, mowing the grass, and finally having some time to clean out her flower beds.  Guess what, she also made our Alcatraz a little bigger and fixed it to where all she needs to do is open the  porch door and we can run out and run back in. Well, WE as in Maggie running down the steps and Maggie and Gussie running up the Steps.  I, because of my eyes still need to be carried down the three steps and NOW for some reason back UP the steps. Gussie still hasn't mastered going DOWN the steps.  Dad was a little peeved, pissed, mad as all hell, that Mom took it upon herself to do this little project while he was at work, but Mom just shrugged and walked away.  It was a little tense at our house this weekend.  But we love having a little more run, and Mom feels even better cos we are safer.  Dad is just a old stick in the mud.  WE have no pictures cos our USB cable is coming from freaking Timbuktu...maybe we will have it by Christmas.

Yesterday, Jackson and Baby Bean came down so they could be watched so their momma could clean her house.  My momma cooked supper for two families and baked cookies and watched them.  My momma should wear a red cape sometimes. Dad is rolling his eyes.
Then after they left Mom took supper over to Bear's momma cos her and the two little girls have a horrible awful virus.  They even had to go to the ER on Saturday night cos of such high temp. etc.  The ER doc must have been related to the stoooopid shevet that Bear went to cos she told them to take cough syrup and come back on Monday if they didn't feel better.  Bear's Momma and the little girls had temps of 103-104 and that was WITH Motrin.  We don't understand why they didn't do any bloodwork or chest xrays...so anyway Mom took over supper to all of them cos no one could get out of bed, and she took over a big chicken breast that Dad cooked for Bear.  Bear, hasn't been eating very much or drinking very much and we are all real worried about him.

WELL, Bear's Momma called Mom the "Bear Whisperer" cos MY MOM got him to drink 4 bowls of water, and eat the whole chicken breast.  He loves my Mom now cos she smells like chicken.  Mom would have brought him home for a few days to recup but he doesn't care for Margaret or Angus anymore than I do (and he tried to bite them) so she promised him instead she would be back over this week with more good vittles.  He has forgotten how to be house trained but mom told everyone to be patient and hopefully it will all come back to him.  He is going to go visit a new Vet this week just as soon as his mom and family starts to feel better.  They are going to the Dr. this morning who has a real medical degree.

Monday came to soon for my Mom.

We're Really Mad

Mom doesn't like to do a mad, crabby post but she just needed to get this off her chest and she knows you guys will understand...so I let her do this post today.  We are sorry right off the bat because it is a downer post, and we like to do funny posts.

My daughter Kylei has a dog that she got from the shelter back in November.  His name is Bear.  He is such a wonderful, happy, loveable dog.  You can tell tho that he has been through trials and hurts in his life, but he has found his forever home now.
A few months ago he had to go to the vet on an emergency basis to get shaved, and have his glands done, it must be something from his past, cos he was in alot of pain and didn't handle any of it well. Well, the vet gave him to much drug to relax him and it took almost ONE WEEK for him to ALMOST get back to normal.  Just in the last few weeks, he has been more himself.  That week, he hid under their table, was shakey, scared, just not the Bear that we knew.  Since then that vet was let go and now they have a new one. (This is where the pugs go also.)

Well last Friday Kylei made another appt. to get him groomed so that wouldn't happen again, and she told the new vet what happened the last time and how she was worried about any type of drug they might give him. So they went ahead and gave him a 1/2 dose of Ketamine, it didn't help so the Vet gave him another 1/2 dose of Ketamine and he started having seizures. It took awhile to get the oxygen going, and then they had to give him some other type of anesthesia before the whole process was over.  Kylei picked him up at 400 and took him home. Now poor Bear is once again, doing things like shaking, sleeping all day, not understanding about going outside to potty and not eating or drinking much.  Kylei and I are both worried he may have had a stroke or something as serious from the Ketamine, WHICH was the SAME drug the other vet gave him.
When Kylei called the Vet yesterday to talk to her, she wouldn' t talk to Kylei but the office girl did, and told Kylei they did not give him Ketamine. Well, Kylei had the bill in front of her and it had charges for Ketamine on it.  Even when the girl figured out Kylei was correct, she never asked about Bear or was concerned with his behavior NOR did the vet call kylei back.

We are very worried about Bear and if he will be able to come out of the effects of it.  We just want him to be happy and healthy.  As far as the pugs I am not taking them back there anymore.  I told Kylei the hard lesson is we ALWAYS have to be our furkids voice because they don't have one of their own. Also, there are times we are smarter than the Vet and they need to listen to us!!!

Please keep Bear in your prayers today and his family.

FRIENDS

This is my Mom and her friend Deb.  They have the same name.  They have been friends since 7th grade.  They are both really old now.  Maggie is laying on my Mom's lap, I am laying on Deb's knee and Gussie is laying in Deb's other arms.  On the floor by Deb's feet is Oddie.  It is a Pug & Deb picture.

This is Oddie the little pug that my Mom is secretly in love with.  She lives with Deb but used to live with Deb's mom. She is a good girl, or so I am told quite often.

And this is Gangsta #1 (see that tough, mean look on her face) or also known as Margaret, a/k/a Maggie.  She is starting classes on August 13th, I hope she learns alot so she can teach it to Angus.

DIAMOND N THE RUFF AND BENNY

That is what Mom calls me" her little diamond in the ruff." I don't really know why she does that just like I don't understand ,her bringing home Gangsta #1 and #2.  Ms. Ellen reminded me in a comment yesterday that I might has well buck up cos they are here to stay. Thank you Ms. Ellen for being a kind and considerate friend....I will remember that at Christmas time.

Mom was reading Ruebens book to us last night and we got to talking about my love for green beans and how it has caused many problems in our house.  First, Mom didn't even know I liked green beans but after I came to live with her she researched pugs on the internut and found out alot of things.  Mostly, how she shouldn't take me out in the hot hot august weather cos she could have killed me that day. She also read how lots of owners to help with weight control put green beans in their puggies food.  So she did.  I loved fresh, frozen and canned green beans.  I love green beans.

Then my angel-devil brother Sammer came to live with us, and the problems started. Everytime Mom would put green beans in our bowls, Sammer would gobble his down and then when my Mom's back was turned he would steal and eat the beans from my bowl.  I would scream a high pitched scream at my Mom so she would stop the thievery but she just would tell me to calm down!  She didn't know I could scream and throw myself back on the floor like a tired two year old until green beans came into the picture. Now of course any kind of fruit and green beans will set off that response, and of course Gangsta #1 and #2 think its funny when I have my meltdowns.  They don't even like fruit or green beans they just like me to make my loud piggy noises.

Yesterday, I went to play a game called Poker at Sarge's to help raise Money for our brother-in-heart Benny.  He is working real hard on kicking Cancer to the curb and he needs our strength and support and money to do it. So anyway, Ernie,(from Frankie and Ernie) taught me how to play poker so I can win big money for Benny, only I find out later, he really taught me how to play OLD MAIDS.  The boy sure does have a sense of humor.  There will be lots of games played over the next few weeks, so dive right in and have some fun.  Just make sure Ernie is not around you at anytime.  Here is how you can send the monies to help Benny and his family.

MONDAY GRIPING

My big sister Kylei took these on the night of the 4th...us pugs were all in the house safely so we didn't participate in the rowdiness going on outside, which was just fine with us.  We had a big get-together in the evening and Mom's friend Deb brought Oddie back to see us.  AGAIN, Mom is all gushy cos she is so sweet, and AGAIN Maggie was a little ass cos she kept yapping and barking her high pitched "make your ears bleed" bark.  It was pretty hot outside so Mom couldn't put her out in Alcatraz, so she stayed on the porch and in the house.  Mom is seriously considering buying us each a crate now after this weekend!!

Mom ordered me Reuben's Book--A Guide to Braveries for Small Dogs on her Ken Doll this weekend and is reading it to me at night for a bedtime story.  He has wonderful suggestions in it on how we need to train our parents and siblings...well not siblings cos he got rid of his by sending her out to his grandpa's farm. I took Reuben's suggestion to heart and thought... my grandpa has a farm,  so when he came to visit on Sunday, I had all Maggie's clothes, (Gangsta #1) and toys packed so she could go live with them, and BARK at the cows instead of our guests.  Grandpa took one look at her mean gangsta little face, and watched how she interacted with Charlie their cheweenie, (BARKing her fool head off in his face) and he ran for the door, I was hangin  on his leg, and waving green monies at him, but he just drove away real fast.  Now what are we gonna do!!!

( Mom sent a message to Melody about when her dog training classes start next month, and told her to sign Maggie up for sure.  We are waiting to hear back from her, we did warn her that Maggie will be barking at every dog in the class.  She may refuse to take her, and then we stuck with a barking pug until she grows up.  I get rather ill when I think about that possibility.)

Then Gussie Gangsta #2 thinks he is all big and bad when Charlie visits on Sunday, and gets in his face nose to nose.  Now Charlie has about 23 lbs on Gus but he doesn't let that stop him, from bouncing all around him, his fur all standing up, ......he didn't bark but he sure wasn't friendly.  Grandpa and grandma look at mom, and I can just read their minds saying..."what kind of pugs are you raising down here in the hills of iowa..."  Mom was a little ashamed of their behavior.    After they left Mom tried to remember if  Angel Sammer and I acted like that when we were puppies and she just couldn't.  She must have blocked those memories from her brain.  I told mom i am sick of puppies and we should have just got a senior pug like she wanted.  Mom told me to knock it off.......I guess I will just have to take care of the problemo myself.

Yesterday Mom gave us a coconut oil rinse bath.  She just melted a tablespoon of the magic elixir in our rinse water and poured it over us, and left it on our fur and dried us off.  Well, that kept us busy for a few hour licking it off of each other, Gussie also went on to clean our ears nice and purty.  At least he is good for one thing.

We are hoping Mom gets her usb cable today or tomorrow or this week, at least before the summer is gone so she can download pictures of us she has been taking...she is sad cos Gangsta #1 and #2 are growing up and you guys aren't able to see that.   I say just imagine two wort hogs tearing up the brush around your house, and that gives you a pretty good imaginary picture of them.
PS check out all the games and fun to raise monies for our Friend Benny who is fightin Cancer, he needs all our help!!
Have a great Monday

MEAN WITH MY WORDS--HAPPY 4th

Yes, I have a sweet little face and a  tender little heart, but sometimes I must confess on my blog I can be mean with my words.  I  sometimes say mean things about Maggie, Angus and Mean Ole Cat Dietzman. Mean words, like stupid, dumb, and really really stoopid.

This is my reason for me saying those mean words on my blog.  Everynight when dad gets home I run over and dig through our toybox and find my little white bear, that mom got me on my gotcha day, which is coming up next month.  Its little black eyes are chewed up from my stupid brother Sammer, and its little heartlight hardly ever lights up and sings, cos stupid Maggie shakes the crap out of it, but it is still my little white baby bear. Well, just as soon as I get hold of it , I run as fast as I can to my Dad's lap all the while dodging Maggie and Gus trying to steal it out of my mouth, and sometimes I actually get to Dad's lap with it still in my mouth, I jump up high and settle down to sit with him and my little bear, when Maggie jumps like a shark out of the water, and steals it from me.

My mom gets really mad at her, and makes her give it back to me, but by that time my little sweet heart is just broken, and I give up and lay down in the cliner.....defeated.....by the stooopids.
Stella Rose
P.S. on the bright side, no one pee's on my cooling pad anymore, cos mom keeps a pillowcase on it, and lays it on the end of the loveseat.... HAPPY 4th of JULY....Mom will be back on MOnday.

COCONUT OIL

Nutiva Coconut Oil Organic Ext Virgin

Coconut oil for dogs (and people) is often called a miracle in a jar. "Virgin" (or unrefined) coconut oil helps to support and maintain overall health in both humans and dogs. Coconut oil contains Lauric acid, which is a medium chain fatty acid that is also found in mother's milk. Lauric acid is the substance that prevents infants from getting viral, bacterial and protozoan infections, and those same benefits seem to apply to dogs as well.

Benefits of Coconut Oil for Dogs

The advantages of giving your dog coconut oil are far-reaching:
  • Reduces risk of cancers
  • Improves digestion and addresses digestive disorders
  • Promotes normal thyroid function
  • Prevents and treats yeast and fungal infections
  • Helps balance metabolism for a healthy weight
  • Relieves arthritis
  • Supports healthy skin and coat
Applied topically coconut oil can:
  • Disinfect cuts
  • Improve skin and coat condition
  • Speed wound healing
  • Deodorize
  • Clear up rashes
  • The best part? Dogs love the taste of coconut oil! Unlike other "good for you" remedies, most dogs will readily eat their daily dose, mine included. I've been using coconut oil for years - since Sumner was still with us - and I've seen the benefits firsthand. (I've also seen how quickly the dogs go off the rails when I run out.) A local vet was so impressed by the change in one of our coconut customers that he's now a believer in coconut oil for dogs, too!
Dosing is easy: give one teaspoon per ten pounds of body weight, or one tablespoon per thirty pounds. Work up to the suggested dosing amount gradually, as the detoxification process can trigger flu-like symptoms in dogs that start off on the full dose right away. 1/4 tsp for every 10 lbs. starting out.

This is Stella's Momma:
My daughter has been using coconut oil for awhile for her family and has been after me to try it.  She has always had a problem with roseca and has found by putting the oil directly on her skin it is helping with the heat and redness.  She also uses it as cooking oil instead of what she had been buying.  As with all new products you do have to introduce this slowly to your body because it begins to help get rid of toxins, if you use to much to fast, you could feel like you were coming down with the flu.   Then last week when I was talking about Gussie and his itchies one of my friends on here mentioned that she gives her little doxin's coconut chips in their food and not only has their coat improved but the itchies has went away.  I didn't want to start giving Gus predisone if i could help it and decided to go buy the oil and start giving it to them. Oh they love the taste of it, even Dietzy.  I rubbed it in their coats, and tonight I am going to put it in their rinse water after their bathes.  You melt 3 tbl to one cup of warm water, and then put it in their rinse water, and leave on the skin, and towel dry.  All the pugs coats are good, but maggie is shedding a bunch and I thought maybe this could help, plus they smell good.  There is alot of information out there on coconut oil and your pets, and all the uses.

I also have put it in Dietzy's ears cos we fight the ear mites with him.  We have always gotten med's from the vet but by the time we get one ear done, he is out the door, mad and hissing.  I know it burns his ears and hurts him.  It seemed we never could get a good handle on it.  On Sunday i melted some of the oil, (it comes solid, looks like crisco) and put drops in Dietzy's ears. He didn't take off running and growling, and it didn't hurt him. Hopefully, it will start to smother the ear mites.

As with every product, you will read good and bad reviews but so far I haven't seen any negative reviews. Some of you asked about this when I mentioned it yesterday, so I thought today's post would give you a little information.  I purchased it at Hy-Vee in the health food section, but I read you could buy it at Costco also.  Probably you could go online and it would tell you.  Make sure you buy the UnRefined or Extra Virgin kind, or you will not be getting the product you are looking for.  It cost me $20.00 but since I give such a small amount it will last for awhile.

Last night I stir fried chicken and veg. in it for our supper and I really liked the coconut flavor.
Have a good Tuesday.

Busy Weekend

First Baby Gussie made it back home safely, he ballooned for 2 blocks along the river, and mom and him decided if he wasn't big enuf to jump up in the cliner with the rest of us, then he needed to wait to hot air balloon to see his brother in fur, Rory.

Second, we had a visitor this weekend that we wanted to tell you about.  Of course we have no pictures cos Mom had to order a new usb cable for her super duper camera, so we will have pictures shortly.  Her name is Oddie and she is a little fawn pug who is 3 years old.  She belonged to Jean, and Jean passed away last November and she went to live with Jean's daughter who just happens to be one of my moms great friends from elementary school.  So Oddie and Deb (her name is the same as my mom's) came down to visit yesterday.  OMPUG Oddie is so cute and so well-behaved that all my mom could do is shake her head in amazement and look longingly in her direction ALL DAY.  First, Mom noticed that she just ran up the steps when they walked in the door, and NEVER ONE TIME even thought about running circles away from her Mom in the yard towards the terrible highway.  Then when she came in the house, she never peed or pooped anywhere and she mostly ran around visiting with us, and my parents a wagging her tail all friendlylike.  Deb said it was because she had always lived with an elderly person so she never had the chance to learn naughty but Mom thinks its just because she is just so great!!!!!  Maggie of course showed her ass butt all day by barking and barking and barking at her, and Angus showed his ass butt by constantly grabbing hold of her back leg and dragging her along to play with him, but I, Stella Rose Long know how to be with guests, and after all she is my age, so we just sat quietly and chatted away.  When it was time to go, her Mom opened our back door and she trotted right out to their van and got in the back seat and sat down.  AGAIN, my Mom was amazed!  Later, Mom talked and talked about what a good puggy she is, and how she must be doing something wrong cos we are all brats!  Yep, that is the word she used, BRATS!!!!!

Mom also started us on something new this weekend.  Coconut oil for Gussie's itching.  She read all about it on the internet, and from bloggy friends, and decided to go buy us some and herself.  We are getting 1/4 tsp in our food to start out.  She also massaged it in our fur and for the next hour or so, we followed each other around, licking it off....um um good!!!!  She said later that she bet little miss OODIE, would never have bothered them, licking it off........oh sure MOm oh sure!!

Oostrailoria

Angus--Big Boy of the Girly House here....I have found a new way to get to Oostraileria without my mom's help!  I am trying it out today over the Des Moines River just in case there are a few flaws in my plan!  If you see me above your house just wave, and I will wave back.
Gussie a/k/a Angus

My Friends "Murphy" and "Stanley"

 Murphy & Stanley

Here are my buddies, Murphy and Stanley.  They are handsome and friendly and are Mini Golden Doodles...isn't that a funny word for a friend...a doodle....heheheh.....(.better sounding than a Pug, cos that makes you think of a Bug, or in my mom's case a snake...don't ask long story.).....anyway they got hooked up with this great Amish Crusin Wagon, and they stopped by my house last week so I could go with them on a picnic.  I being the girl in the bunch furnished the food.  Dad fixed it... not Mom cos I wanted them to like it, not throw it away.  Sorry Mom.

Where are you at guys ...oh is that you a honking!!!!  Hey here I am looking out the front door!!

Just before we were getting ready to hit the pavement Angus ran out of the house, and tried to climb into the wagon with me.  Well, I told him I am a big girl and you are a baby who likes his binkies and blankie and rocking on mom's lap so this wagon ain't for no baby's.  He wrapped his little arms tight around MY neck and refused to let go.  How embarrassing for me for sure!!!  Mom had to come out to get him, all the while Maggie was laughing and rolling on the floor from the window.  I was sure my golden dood friends will never come back again, but they being the cool doodles that they are, simply gave gussie a big red sucker pop so he could be distracted, and Mom quickly took him in the house.
 Ready to roll Boys!

We took off in that" red streaking fast down the street wagon", and my black hair and purple sun hat was just blowing in the wind!  It was the most fun I had for ...well since two days before when gussie went to the vet and had a thermometer incident.

Here are some great pictures of our adventure....swimming with their buddies, playing in the woods, and exploring the old logs and tooling around town in their crusin mobile!
Hey a girl with a hat shows she is worried about her complexion from getting to much sun guys!!

Look boys my head fits right in this hole....ahhhh could you help me get unstuck!

See you later friends..hope you enjoyed our picnic and day with my friends as much as I did!!!
P.S. Thank you to Murphy and Stanleys Mom for doing all our pictures!

POOR DAD

This is an awhile ago picture of Dad cos Mom's new super duper camera won't download any pictures yet, and she is still waiting on help in the form of an email, or letter, or something.  That is why baby gussie still looks like a baby in all the pictures.

ANYWAY....

Dad is in a little bit of trouble with mom and it concerns the carpeting in the bathroom.  Mom threatened last night to buy him a belly band that they make for boy dogs if he didn't start hitting the target, whatever that means.  Sometimes mom gets real grouchy about things that Dad thinks is stupid....like not tracking in mud on the rug, not letting his beer run over the side of the glass as he is walking across the floor, and not wiping his fishy icky hands on his pants while he is fishing.  Mom sounds like a old grouch doesn't she.  Maybe she just needs a good nights sleep....I suggest dad sleep in the utility room with us and Mom get the whole bed to herself.  Thats my cure for the whole thing!

THE GUARDIAN OF THE PEE PADS

Yes, this is me Stella Rose in an old picture because my MOM cannot get her new camera to download any pictures yet, she is in a turmoil over it!

Anyway, I told mom, no sweat cos I have a few stories this morning to tell.  First it is about MY DAD. Well, we live in town, and we have a yard that is mostly a hill and mostly shade.  Not the most ideal circumstances to plant a garden.  Dad has always grown super hot peppers (and he gives him all away) in these green buckets that he puts on one side of the house, but this year he found one sunny spot right behind ALCATRAZ, and he tilled it up.  It is about the size of a small car.  So MOM was all excited and planted 3 little tomato plants and one zucchini plant.  Dad was gonna plant just a few big tomato plants.  Guess what, apparently he found a good sale on plants and he planted 25 FREAKIN Tomato PLANTS!!!  Remember it is just a little spot.  Mom laughed and laughed (well maybe she really yelled....) and said when they all start growing it is just going to be one big tomato plant....Dad told her to have a little faith.  Yesterday a big windstorm blew through and now all dad's plants are laying on the ground, we are waiting to see what happens. Oh yeah, he planted one tiny row of green beans for him, well for ME!!!!

Last night at our house we as in me and the sibs had a big ole fight and had to all go to separate rooms in the house to calm down.  Mom said one minute we were all playing around her feet and the next minute it was like a fighters ring.  I had hold of gussie's pug fat shaking the pee out of him, maggie had hold of me, and gussie was swinging at both of us with his paws.  Mom reached in and grabbed gussie (cos he is the babyyyyy) and yelled at us .....well we finally stopped but I was all upset making my pug screams, and maggie kept getting all gangsta on me and getting in my face when I was trying to calm down.  Mom put gussie on the porch, me in the utility room and mags in the kitchen.  We had to stay on time out for 20 minutes.  Maggie cried and cried, and gussie just stood at the door looking in, and I figured while I was in captivity I might has well be productive so I ripped up the pee pads, and then peed on the floor.

Speaking of pee pads, Mom doesn't know what is going on with me but I will not let maggie or gussie use the pee pads, as soon as I see them go into the utility room, I run in there and stand over the pads, guarding them from any pee that would ever touch them.  Mom, get pretty peeved about it cos gussie is doing really well with using them, and now mag's is all confused cos she thought that was what she was supposed to do....I figure those are my pee pads, and it doesn't matter if mom puts down 1 pad or 3 they are all MINE, !!!!!  You can only imagine the amount of pads we go through!

Here is a new picture of Baby Bean...I think she looks just like me!

8 SECONDS--AND BENNY

This is Marcus, he has his hat over his heart while they sing the "Star Spangled Banner."  Saturday night Mom went to watch him and his big brother Micah ride the bulls.  Micah made it 7 seconds and hit the ground, Marcus made it 8 seconds...YAY.... but then the bull beat him up.  He came in second, with ripped jeans, a bruised calf, and thigh.  He is still limping but says he is going to continue to ride.  Secretly Mom wishes he wouldn't.  She thinks there will be lots more times in their lives that she secretly wishes she could stop them from doing what they choose in life.

So Mom and I got to talking about that 8 seconds thing over the weekend and then we got to thinking about our friend Benny.  We know right now he is working on his 8 seconds, and the Big C is that darn bull.  We picture little Benny in his cowboy hat and spurs just kicking that bull's butt.

I told Mom that I think Benny's whole life has been a 8 second ride, cos that is how us doggys are.  We jump on the back of that bull and enjoy the ride.  We watch out of the corner of our eyes, at our loved ones standing up and cheering us on, and if we hit the ground we tuck and roll, and get right back on.  It's the ride we enjoy Mom not the prize, and maybe my ride may be shorter Mom then you want, or harder than you would ever expect but its our 8 second ride, and let me tell you Mom we enjoy it!  Celebrate my ride Mom just as Benny celebrates having a Mom and Sister and blogville family that love him, and stand up in the crowds cheering him on!

NEW DOGTOR FRANKENVET

ANGUS: Mom, what are you doing home so early this morning?

MOM: Well, you and I are gonna go meet the new Vet and I need to talk to her about your scraetching.

ANGUS: Meet...as in Hi, How are you, are you very smart... now lets get the heck out of here or MEET AS IN SHOTS, and PAINFUL STUFF like that?

MOM: Um....I am not sure..

well since mom didn't know what they were doing to me, and I had a flight to catch to see Rory in Oustralia...then I opped out of going to meet the new girl frankenvet..WELL  apparently ole MOM is in charge cos the next thing i knew "mean ole cat dietzman" was circling above our house in his new vintage plane without ME in it and we were off to see the vet.

Mom told the vet she thought i might be allergic to grain in my food, then the she monster said NO HE'S TO YOUNG....well i puffed up my chest so she could see I was getting a few boypughairs on it, .....then Mom said "well maybe its environmental...."  the the she monster said NO NOT aT ALL....well I could read my mom's mind just perfectly and I know bad bad bad words were rolling around in her brain but she kept right on smiling.....so the shevet checked me over and found red spots all over me causing this itching and gave me an antibiotic only AFTER they stuck a thermometer wayup high where the sun don't shine.  Well, let me tell you friends, I was NOT ashamed to say, I immediately went into "baby gus mode" and flopped on my back so my momma could rock me.  WELL that caused commotion in the office and everyone had to see the puggy baby.  I looked at my mom and whispered in her ear that this is the reason I am going to live with Rory cos they seem very excepting of things in Ostrailia.....

So the shevet told mom to give me the med's for one week and then I may have to have a shot to help with the itching....why I am itching only my really smart mom knows........... 15 min and 100.00 later we were on our way home, Maggie and Stella laughed and laughed when I told them about that thermometer thingy....NOW THEY ARE GONNA USE THAT AGAINST ME...Mom said I couldn't leave the country until I was healthy...so now my traveling plans are scrapped!!

Our friend Benny is fighting a big old fight with "CANCER" and he is determined to kick its butt.  He needs all our help and prayers and everyone here on blogville and beyond has been sending them to him, lily and his momma.  He also needs green papers cos CANCER doesn't leave cheap!  If you can help Benny click here http://www.twofrenchbulldogs.com/and you can leave your prayers and money.  He needs both.

Were fighting for you Benny!

LEAVIN ON A JET PLANE

HI THIS IS ANGUS A/K/A BABY GUS:

So this is the house I live in ....it is a million years old so that makes it special...(mom says special means the floors slant a funny way and she vacuums downhill) I say special means I don't have to live in any crummy old puppy mill ANYWHO I decided that I am not as appreciated here as I should be cos I am the baby and the girls make fun of mom rocking me every night at beddy bye time so I am going to stay at RORY's in AUSTRALIA.

Here is the plane I am flying out on.
Its a vintage plane just like my house is vintage.  Isn't it great....I figure I will be flying for about two hours and then land in Rory's backyard.  Mom says NO I have to stay at home cos I am just a baby and cannot travel by myself...Dad just rolls his eyes cos he knows I can't even walk down the porch steps yet so there is no way I am sneaking out of the house.

This is Rory...I think he is my long lost brother.  Don't we look alot alike!!  We are the same color, and we have the same face, and I am ALMOST as tall as he is.  I think we may have shared the same father.
Hope his Mom don't care that I used his picture.

He has a sister Stella also.  See that is called a "sign"..my mom is always looking for signs in her life.  She says sometimes they help her work out things.

Don't you think we look ALOT alike!  Anyway "all my bags are packed and I am ready to go..."  I am just waiting on "mean ole cat Dietzman" to fuel up the plane...oh yeah did I forget to tell you that he is my pilot...I wonder why he is helping me leave the house.   Where is my binkie and nighty night blankie.....

WHAT you don't have binkies or blankies.....WHAT!!!!
